P!nk, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, began her music career in a girl band. When that didn’t work out, she went solo in 1999 at the age of 20 and has never looked back.
Although it’s been nearly two decades since the pop star’s debut single, the 43-year-old performer is still shaking things up in the entertainment industry. The singer, who has brought us hits such as “Get the Party Started” and “There You Go,” was born on Sept. 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Known for her distinctive, raspy voice and tough exterior, P!nk has collected numerous awards and accolades. According to Billboard, she has 15 top 10 hits and is one of the bestselling US music artists to date, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.
Apart from her music, P!nk is known for being authentic and true to herself. Her lyrics often speak about being “real.” Not only does this theme appear in her music, but it seems to carry over into her personal life as well. She’s often very candid about her struggles and experiences, and she often expresses her desire to be seen as a real person, not just a celebrity.
P!nk is married to renowned motocross rider Carey Hart, with whom she shares two children. Although P!nk and Carey have been married for a long time, the two have experienced rough patches in their relationship, which they have weathered eventually. On his 48th birthday in July 2023, P!nk took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to her beloved husband that even brought tears to the eyes of some of her fans.

P!nk’s relationship with her husband, Carey, has not always been such a smooth ride. They first started dating in 2001 but called it off two years later. They reconciled and wed in 2006. However, in 2008, P!nk announced they were separating. To the relief of fans and loved ones, P!nk confirmed that they were together again in February of 2010. In June 2011, the couple welcomed their daughter, Willow Sage Hart. In December 2016, they welcomed their second child — a son, Jameson Moon Hart. P!nk’s family life has not gotten in the way of her career, however, something she once said was an entirely good thing.
“When you first get together, you look at that person as your entire world. One person can’t be your entire world. You have to have your own passions, your own friends, your own time to yourself. I used to be super needy,” she said. “Now we expect less of each other, and that allows us to give each other more somehow.”
The singer is candid about both the joys and trials of her relationship. She explained that for her, it would have been easier not to stay in the relationship long-term. Even throughout all the ups and downs, she was thankful she did.
“Long-term relationships are not easy,” P!nk said. “It is much easier to stay in the solid days and jump from relationship to relationship because then you don’t have to fix the problems that keep recurring. You have to end up fixing yourself; you can’t fix the other person.”
P!nk is known for being an advocate for therapy and counseling. On June 2020, P!nk posted a video on Instagram revealing that she and Carey have a therapist named Vanessa.

P!nk credited Vanessa with helping her and her husband navigate their way through tough times and keeping their marriage mightier than ever.
“It’s the only reason that we’re still together because you know, I think partners after a long time, we just speak. I can’t say it’s a man and woman thing, I think it’s a partner thing, a spouse thing – that you just speak two different languages,” she admitted on Instagram.
The efforts appeared to have paid off, if P!nk’s heartfelt message to her husband on his 48th birthday on July 17, 2023, is anything to go by. The singer took to Instagram to post a black-and-white photo of the two of them sitting on a deck. The caption read:
“@hartluck we have celebrated 21 birthdays together, in some strange places, too. I’ve watched you grow from a young, gorgeous, insane athlete into a wise, even more gorgeous businessman, entrepreneur, father and husband.”
P!nk added he was “just getting started.” She also added, “I’ve loved growing up with you and raising little humans together.” She continued by wishing him “peace and love” and said she was “excited for you for this year ahead, maybe more than ever before.”
“I am so glad you were born. Happy birthday Carebear 🥂” she ended the note.
Even fans were moved by the touching message. One user commented, “Why am I crying over Pink’s husband birthday,” while another said, “This is beautiful… I feel like crying .. lol Happy Birthday Carey. You are a lucky man, but you already know that.” A third fan remarked:
“You two are the ultimate #couplegoals. To navigate the ups & downs and to come out of each stronger than ever…it’s so inspiring.”
