Sometimes change is not a choice but a necessity.
General Hospital is one of the most popular medical dramas on television today. Being on the air for 60 years, we should give the soap some credit: it still finds ways to keep fans attracted to the show like the first years or even better.
The long-running soap has a reputation for trying to keep the original core cast on the show for as long as possible, and the recasts that sometimes pop up on the show are always for reasons that can’t be handled.
So it was this time when the showrunners had to recast longtime actress Haley Pullos, who played the role of Molly Lansing-Davis. Truth to be told, seems like fans were not that happy about that change.
“She’s awful. They look like they’re trying to find a replacement that looks like Molly but it’s just annoying. We’ve watched the real Molly grow up on this show and the relationship with TJ grew from when they were in middle and high school. I’m glad they’re doing this storyline but I miss Molly!” Redditor Alarming-Cry-3406 said.
Just before the recast happened, Pullos announced that she is temporarily leaving General Hospital. As for the reason, she claimed that she was in a car crash and now is dealing with the injuries she gotBut as it turned out, she was only telling part of the truth. In a week, TMZ published some details of that car crash, and it seems like Pullos’ exit was a result of a bigger issue.
When those details came to light, it turned out it was actually the actress who caused the car crash.
After taking her to hospital, the cops found mini tequila bottles in her car and stated that she had been driving drunk. So she was arrested during her hospital stay.
As if all of this was not enough, Pullos was also accused of being involved in another accident. It was a hit-and-run crash.
In short, while recovery from the accident is undoubtedly a major factor in Pullos’ exit from General Hospital, her departure was forced for more reasons than just her resulting injuries.
