People are losing their minds over Mandela Effect at Taco Bell that everyone swears was 100% real

Taco Bell customers have been left baffled by the Mandela Effect

Taco Bell customers have been scrambling their brains to see if they are misremembering a feature that was once present in most restaurants.

Now, the Mandela Effect is a very real phenomenon which can leave you scratching your head.

Essentially, it is a false memory that occurs when different people incorrectly remember the same thing.

You might be thinking, ‘that doesn’t apply to me’ but just you wait.

Some of the classics have left even the greatest sceptics admitting they have misremembered events, phrases or moments.

Darth Vader’s classic Star Wars line of ‘Luke, I am your Father’ is actually ‘No, I am your father’ and is often misquoted.

Or maybe you thought the Saturday cartoon classic of Bugs Bunny and friends was called Looney Toons? Nope, it is in fact Looney Tunes. You get the picture.

Facebook group Mandela Effect & Glitches In The Matrix has left people baffled about feature they swore they would always see at Taco Bell.

A woman has questioned whether the coin boxes that used to be seen at the fast food chain actually contained water or not.

Since we use card payments for almost everything nowadays, we don’t really see the charity coin boxes around as much – shout out to the ones that used to show the coin swirl around a basin before it dropped.

One woman posted in the group: “I know most of us will remember these at Taco Bell. The Taco Bell’s local to me had them up until about 10 years ago and I found it very strange that I said at the time ‘well that’s dumb! They don’t even have water in them anymore’.

“I clearly remember they used to hold water. Nobody I’ve ever discussed with recalls the water but I am 100% certain they DID used to be full of water.”

There were many heated discussions between social media users. (Facebook/Rory Masterson)

She questioned: “Anyone else remember them with water?”

Many people in the comment section insisted they did have water, with one claiming they ‘1000000%’ did.

But some thought they didn’t contain water, resulting in a series of heated discussions between social media users.

However, a few suggested that there were likely two models available to restaurants, one with water and one without.

While others claimed they all had water at one point but were likely drained due to possibly leaking.

One person even posted an image of a coin box, albeit a slightly different design, as proof they once held water.

Do you remember the coin boxes filled with water or not?
