The Country star is seeking a temporary restraining order against Firerose in a bid to regain control of his finances

Billy Ray Cyrus is seeking a temporary restraining order weeks after filing for divorce from Firerose in a bid to allegedly regain control of his finances.

The country musician filed for divorce from Firerose – real name Johanna Rose Hodges – on 22 May in a Tennessee court claiming ‘inappropriate marital conduct’ had taken place, and Cyrus has since filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order over Firerose’s alleged ‘unauthorized’ use of his credit card.

After around seven months of marriage, Cyrus filed for divorce stating irreconcilable differences as well as ‘inappropriate marital conduct’.

TMZ was the first to report the news, claiming Cyrus also sought an immediate annulment of the marriage on the grounds of ‘fraud’ and gave Firerose until 24 May to leave the house.

The documents stated Cyrus would pay $5,000 a month for a period of 90 days – or until the divorce is finalized – towards Firehouse’s accommodation.

And Cyrus has since requested a temporary restraining order in a bid to prevent Firerose from using his personal and professional bank cards and accounts for any ‘unauthorised charges,’ providing details of alleged ‘fraudulent’ activity.

In documents obtained by PEOPLE, Cyrus claims Firerose has used his business account for 37 unauthorized charges since 23 May – the day after he filed for divorce.

He alleges the charges total a whopping $96,986 – which allegedly includes a payment to Firerose’s attorneys of $70,665.

In an affidavit, Cyrus wrote: “As a result of these fraudulent charges… I am concerned that Ms. Hodges is in possession of other information that she may use to make fraudulent, unauthorized charges to my business and personal credit cards and accounts.”

Firerose has since denied the accusations, her attorney responding to Cyrus’ filing for a temporary restraining order.

After the pair wed in October 2023, Firerose claims she had full permission to use Cyrus’ cards and that the pair would even ‘routinely go over’ the money she spent on the specific card in question.

Her attorneys wrote in response to the filing: “To claim Wife has made 37 unauthorized charges is untrue.

“Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage. Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off.”

Cyrus claims Firerose has over half-a-million in ‘liquid and investment assets at her disposal’ and owns Los Angeles real estate worth more than seven figures, so is requesting she refund or return anything she bought within the ‘unauthorized charges’ allegedly made on his account.
