The former employee opened up about one encounter which he says cost him his job of 36 years at SeaWorld

A man who worked at SeaWorld for 36 years has claimed that he was fired for a seemingly innocuous reason.

Lynn Frey, who is known by many as Lynn The Mime, revealed that he had been travelling to his job as a mime at SeaWorld when he says he was approached by a security guard at the park.

Frey worked as a mime at the park for 36 years, where he performed to crowds of guests.

In a video posted to TikTok, he said that he had parked his car in the lot before getting on his bike to ride into work – as he would do on any other day.

But while he was riding in, he alleged that he was approached by a security guard about his bike, leading to a disagreement between the two.

In the video on social media, he said: “As I ride my bike through the security guard, I see some security ladies that I’ve seen quite a few times over the years, and just said ‘good morning.'”

He added: “And I got on my bike and rode away. And as I rode away, I heard some gentleman yell at the top of his voice, ‘Hey, come here!'”

The man was another security guard, who, according to the performer, proceeded to tell Frey that he was not allowed to ride his bike in the park.

Frey said that he replied, saying: “Excuse me? I’ve been riding my bike in and out of this park for years.”

After the pair went back and forth for a few minutes, Frey claims that the man ordered him to park his bike and walk.

Frey further claims that the guard then went to HR and reported that Frey had sworn at him and thrown his bike.

But Frey disputes this claim, saying: “I didn’t cuss at him. Everybody out there knows me and knows that I wouldn’t do that.

“I don’t cuss at people. I don’t have that in me. That’s not in my nature. If you push me hard enough, yeah, I might say something. He didn’t push me that hard. The conversation wasn’t that tense.”

Frey claims he was then subsequently fired from his job, and denied the opportunity to perform one last time.

He said: “I asked them if I could come in and do one last show. They said no. I asked if I could come in and tell my side of the story. They said no. There’s nothing I can do about it. I’m sorry, folks.”

He also alleged that he was banned from Seaworld’s property.

The mime added: “So, Sea World never let me tell my side of the story. They just judge, jury, and executioner … that quick. 36 years at SeaWorld. Evidently, that means nothing to them.”
