Charlize Theron has given some rare insight into motherhood as she discussed her two daughters

Charlize Theron has shared a very candid admission about motherhood, and I’m sure a lot of parents will relate.

It’s likely that anyone with kids will agree that parenting isn’t the easiest of tasks.

Whether its boisterous toddlers you have or moody teenagers, each stage of your child’s life is likely to come with its hardships – something which Theron is currently experiencing for herself.

The Mad Max: Fury Road favorite is mom to two adoptive daughters; 11-year-old Jackson and August, nine.

Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 and followed suit with August three years later.

Theron rarely says much about her private life, but gave a glimpse of how she finds being a mom when chatting to E! News at the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) 2024 Block Party over the weekend.

“Oh, my God, they’re so embarrassed by me constantly,” she told the showbiz news outlet.

“They’re kids, they’re girls, you know? I have a preteen and I feel like I have a nine year old who thinks she’s a 13 year old. It’s a lot of girl in our house.”

The 48-year-old mom went on: “I’m just trying to keep my head above water, because they are smart and they are witty and they are firecrackers, but they do not go, ‘Oh my god, Mom, you’re so amazing’.

“They’re like, ‘Excuse me, I need. I want’.”

While Theron went on to label her daughters as ‘a**holes’, she still believes her girls are ‘really nice’.

“Other parents know what I’m talking about,” she added.

Earlier this year, Theron shared a glimpse of an action-packed trip she took with one of her kids to New York City.

She captioned a series of snaps from their vacation: “We came, we saw, we did it all. NYC you were a treat!”

The first photo showed Theron with one of her daughters as she sipped on a soda, while another snap showed them visiting the 9/11 memorial.

They also seemed to pay a visit to the city’s famous American Natural History Museum and went on a cruise to get up close to the Statue of Liberty.

During their time in the Big Apple, August joined her superstar mom to a Dior fashion show.

And just a month before their NYC trip, Theron took her girls to Disney World for spring break.

She’s not a regular mom, she’s a cool mom…
