The viral star was a recent guest on Howie Mandel’s podcast
The Hawk Tuah girl has shot to fame in the most bizarre way but recently on a podcast she found out where she was from and left the room stunned.
And I don’t mean where in the U.S is from, there is no mistaking that clear-as-day southern Tennessee drawl.
What I mean is her ethnic makeup, essentially where her ancestors are from.
Yup, we have reached that part of the viral story, its not enough to know where the Hawk Tuah girl hails in the U.S. now we gotta go back further a few generations.
That being said, Hailey Welch (that is her real name), was quite delighted to know where she comes from and so was everyone else in the room.
Back in late July, Welch was a guest on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast and she and the host were discussing her DNA test results.
Alongside Mandel, his co-host and daughter Jackelyn Shultz was their, alongside other guest comedian, Michael Blaustein.

The room actually burst into jokes and laughter when the results came through.
It turns out that Welch is 97.7 percent Ashkenazi Jewish. The rest of her is 0.2 percent Eastern European, 1.7 broadly European, 0.2 Siberian and 0.1 percent broadly east Asian.
Shultz then joked: “You are in a room full of Jews,” with Blaustein adding on ‘are you scared?’ Not before adding ‘welcome to Hollywood.’
“Yes, I tried Katz Deli when I was in New York – it was really good. I’m on top of the world!” Welch replied
The group continued to joke about the results with Mandel going as far to say ‘Hawk Tuah’ is a Yiddish word. Now, I don’t know about all that, but then again my Yiddish is hardly in tip top shape.

Who would have thought one short viral moment and two simple noises could have such an impact, eh. Rather than shying away from her newfound fame, Welch took it in her stride and some people have loved her for it.
She explained in a new clip on Twitter: “Along the way I realized that everybody’s entitled to their own opinion. Well now, it’s my time to talk.”
Welch announced the launch of her new podcast, which has the amazing title ‘Talk Tuah’.
“I’m sitting down with the coolest guests and having actual conversations with them,” she said.
Well, I guess that is making the most of the situation. When life gives you lemons, Hawk Tuah on them.
