Imagine putting your card in to an ATM and it revealing to all just how much, or little, you had in your bank account
When using an ATM, you usually enter your pin code discreetly, and you’d likely scan the your vicinity with your peripheral vision – just to make sure no one is spying on your bank balance.
Well, incredibly a cash machine has been created which stores your details and shows everyone just how much you have in your bank account.
And then, to make things even more interesting, it ranks you between everyone who has used it.
If that wasn’t enough, the ATM even has a camera built-in that snaps a picture of you for your ranking – which could be either be a huge ego-booster or very humbling.
Yes, this one ATM in the US has caused plenty of controversy, but it probably won’t surprise you that you won’t find it by a Walmart.
It was located at Art Basel in Miami, Florida, and the person leading the bank ‘leaderboard’ had a huge $2.9 million in his bank account when he put his card in the machine – but there was another 70 plus people who also did it.
The video was recorded by content creator Joel Franco and posted to social media platform Twitter.

A group of people gathered as they looked at the ‘scores’ on the machine – some of which had no money at all in their accounts – I’d be one of them guys so don’t you worry.
However, ranked at number 40 on the list was a grey haired man with black glasses, who had a healthy $11,288 in his account – meaning 39 other people had more than that!
Although a lot of the people using it were quite a lot older than myself, so I shouldn’t be so surprised.
Franco even tells viewers just how popular the ATM is, with at least a dozen people gazing at the cash point in the name of art.
Meanwhile, over on his YouTube channel, a man approached the machine, entered his pin, and revealed to all just how much money he had in his account – something we struggle to do with our nearest and dearest.
He waits as the ATM bizarrely makes toilet flushing noises before revealing to all that he has a healthy $40,000 in his account.
Did he have that much in his account or did he have to transfer it from multiple? Anyway, it’s a lot of money.
Now, I can’t see it being implicated nationwide, but would you be interested in seeing the odd one installed at the mall or somewhere?
