McEnany Drops Hunter Biden Update Amid White House Cocaine Controversy

Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany turned some heads during a segment earlier this week when she made a comment regarding the discovery of cocaine at the White House and rumors it could have belonged to one-time addict and first son Hunter Biden.

The former Trump White House press secretary was visiting the “Fox & Friends” morning show when she essentially ruled out Hunter Biden as a prime suspect.

Drawing on her own experience, she explained that the area where the drug was found is “heavily trafficked,” and said it was likely “discovered rather quickly” because the Secret Service continually monitors the space.

“So it couldn’t have been there for days and days,” McEnany said. “It had have been there for — I would say — minutes before someone took notice.”

McEneny then blasted current White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for not being better prepared with the latest information on the incident from the Secret Service when she faced a barrage of questions over the incident the previous day. And she was miffed that Jean-Pierre’s fallback response was that the first family was not at the White House at the time of the discovery, which had already been established.

She then said: “For it to be Hunter Biden, he left on Friday, he was at Camp David. There’s no way, It’s inconceivable to think cocaine could sit for a 72-hour period, so I would rule him out at this point.”

Earlier this week, reports noted that areas of the White House were evacuated after officials discovered a ‘strange white powder,’ which subsequent tests confirmed to be cocaine.

Secret Service units blocked off roads around the president’s official residence, while a DC Fire Department hazmat team was dispatched to the location to investigate.

“U.S. Secret Service Uniform Division Officers located an unknown item on the White House complex. As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the DC Fire Departments Hazmat team responded,” a USSS spokesperson told Fox News.

Sunday evening, U.S. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told The Hill, “On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area.”

“The DC Fire Department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous,” Guglielmi added. “The item was sent for further evaluation, and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending.”

But a few days later, NBC News cited sources who said the cocaine was actually found in a cubby area in the West Executive basement — an area where vehicles carrying Vice President Kamala Harris two and from the White House usually park.

Reporters Kelly O’Donnell and Megan Lebowitz noted: “The cocaine was found in an entrance area between the foyer and a lower-level lobby, the sources said. The entrance is near where some vehicles, like the vice president’s limo or SUV park. It is one floor below the main West Wing offices and the same floor as the Situation Room and a dining area.”

“What I wanted to be very clear is that this is a heavily, heavily trafficked, heavily traveled, to be more accurate, area of the campus of the White House,” White House press secretary Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday. “It is where visitors to the West Wing come through.

“This is under the purview of the Secret Service,” she noted further. “They are currently investigating what happened over the weekend. So I would have to refer you to the Secret Service, the Secret Service, on all of this.”

Robert McDonald, a former special agent for the U.S. Secret Service, outlined how the agency will likely investigate whose cocaine was found in the White House.

During an interview on Fox News, McDonald said he believes the agency “likely has a fairly good idea” of who is involved in the White House cocaine scandal.
