Dismissing expectations of others,\u00a0Helen Hunt\u00a0<\/a>is gracefully embracing the imperfections of aging and she looks gorgeous!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Performing on TV shows since she was a child, Helen Hunt grew up on the screen with millions of fans watching her transform from the fresh-faced girl to the now accomplished 59-year-old, whose years show on her face, adding to her natural beauty.<\/p>\n

Hunt started acting when she was only 11. She got her big break in\u00a0The Swiss Family Robinson<\/em>, a TV series (1975 to 1976) about a shipwrecked family stranded on a volcanic island. Starring as Helga Wagner, she played a young girl from the same shipwreck, who was taken in by the Robinsons.<\/p>\n

She later appeared as the daughter of Murray Slaughter (played by Gavin McLeod) on\u00a0The Mary Tyler Moore Show<\/em>, in an episode of\u00a0The Bionic Woman<\/em>\u00a0opposite Lindsay Wagner, and in\u00a0Facts of Life<\/em>. Her first big movie was\u00a0Rollercoaster<\/em>\u00a0(1977) alongside Hollywood legends, Henry Fonda and George Segal.<\/p>\n

The next decade catapulted her into stardom with roles in touchstone 80\u2019s films, like\u00a0Girls Just Want to Have Fun<\/em>\u00a0(1985), with another up and comer Sarah Jessica Parker,\u00a0Project X<\/em>\u00a0(1987) with Matthew Broderick, and\u00a0Next of Kin<\/em>\u00a0(1989) with the late Patrick Swayze and Ben Stiller in one of his earlier roles.<\/p>\n

In the 1990\u2019s, Hunt was a household name with her breakout TV performance in the hit comedy series\u00a0Mad About You<\/em>, where she starred opposite Paul Reiser, who later starred in the Netflix series,\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She won four back-to-back Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes for her comedic portrayal of one half of a newlywed couple. She also directed some episodes, including the series finale in 1999.<\/p>\n

Speaking with\u00a0People<\/a>, Hunt shared about her daughter and Reiser, \u201c\u2026 My daughter loves\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em>\u00a0so now when he calls she\u2019s excited. She\u2019s never seen an episode of\u00a0Mad About You\u00a0but she\u2019s super psyched about\u00a0Stranger Things!\u201d Hunt has one daughter, born in 2004, with Matthew Carnahan, her partner of 16 years.<\/p>\n

Hunt is also known for playing a storm chaser in the adrenaline-fueled movie\u00a0Twister<\/em>\u00a0(1996), her Academy Award-winning role in 1997\u2019s\u00a0As Good as it Gets<\/em>, starring next to Hollywood royalty, Jack Nicholson, and 2000\u2019s\u00a0Cast Away<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0What Women Want<\/em>.<\/p>\n

More recently, she plays a journalist in BBC\u2019s\u00a0World on Fire<\/em>\u00a0and has a recurring character on\u00a0Blindspotting<\/em>. She\u2019s also loaned her skills as a director to shows like\u00a0Californication<\/em>,\u00a0House of Lies<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0This is Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In 2021, she\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0she was working on a\u00a0Twister<\/em>\u00a0reboot with a diverse cast of storm chasers \u201cfrom HBCU [historically Black college and university],\u201d but the story was rejected.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to get it made,\u201d Hunt said in 2021. \u201cI was going to direct it\u2026 We could barely get a meeting, and this is in June of 2020 when it was all about diversity. It would have been so cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Universal Pictures is releasing\u00a0Twisters<\/em>, without Hunt, in July 2024.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Hunt, who\u2019s collected numerous awards and nominations, has been a staple in Hollywood culture with her timeless performances and beauty.<\/p>\n

As one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood\u2013a face that through the years has matured, she\u2019s recently been the topic of many conversations.<\/p>\n

With a career spanning more than four decades, it\u2019s common, and expected, that there would be natural physical changes but, as a celebrity, Hunt is not immune from unfiltered opinions coming from the public.<\/p>\n

Speculation that she had plastic surgery started after an accident in 2019, where the SUV she was a passenger, was t-boned by another car, causing it to rollover. She was briefly hospitalized but fully recovered, and within one week, she was back to work filming the limited series reboot of Mad About You.<\/p>\n

Speaking with\u00a0People<\/a>\u00a0about reprising her role, Hunt said, \u201cIt was a very loving piece of work. We loved it. It would be fun to work on something that\u2019s really about love. We\u2019ll be older though \u2014 I hope people are prepared for that. I\u2019m not prepared for it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after,\u00a0Radar Online<\/a>, posted an article suggesting the star too much plastic surgery. In the story, she\u2019s referred to as \u201cageless,\u201d followed by \u201cmannequin-like\u201d and \u201c\u2026her expression more static than usual.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans however were quick to\u00a0defend her<\/a>. One wrote, \u201cI\u2019m not an expert on spotting facelifts and that but to me Helen Hunt today still looks like Helen Hunt from Mad About You, just older. Which is what happens when 3 decades pass, people get older.\u201d Another wrote, \u201cI think we are so used to seeing women who have puffed up their lips and lifted both eyes and forehead, that a woman who is aging normally looks odd to us.\u201d<\/p>\n
