But sadly, not everyone gets to enjoy having their grandparents around. Some people have no one to turn to when it comes to getting solid life advice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is the gap these\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/retired\/\">retirees<\/a>\u00a0wanted to fill in peoples\u2019 lives. Their gatherings and sharing of stories is what led to them coming to a brilliant conclusion; they should share these stories with other people!<\/p>\n<p>One of the members of the group 69-year-old Tony Caputo noticed something; a farmer\u2019s market on the other side of the street with hundreds of attendees!<\/p>\n<p>He coined an idea in the group; setting up a stall there to give people\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/advice\/\">advice<\/a>. The other guys loved it. And so, next week they set up a booth with a large sign overhead which read \u201cOld Coots Giving Bad Advice\u201d, \u201cIt\u2019s probably bad advice, but it\u2019s free\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto%2F%3Ffbid%3D289896748401929%26set%3Da.289896765068594&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"479\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The men were open to answering questions on just about anything. But they did have two exceptions; religion and politics.<\/p>\n<p>They sat waiting to see if anyone would approach them to receive some advice.<\/p>\n<p>After a few people trickled in and had a good experience, the word seemed to have gotten around since they had a huge line form in front of their booth. People approached the \u2018Old Coots\u2019 as they called themselves to get advice on a myriad of topics. From problems with school and work, to relationships and love, and even on what cell phone or internet plans to get!<\/p>\n<p>The men take their positions seriously and give their best to every answer. \u201cWe always listen carefully,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/shareably.net\/retired-group-of-friends-called-old-coots-sets-up-booth-at-farmers-market-to-give-free-life-advice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a>\u00a0Tony, \u201cand we don\u2019t give gratuitous advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group consisted of 4 or 5 males and slowly realized they could not best answer questions posed by young women.<\/p>\n<p>They added some women to the mix to help their female customers and attract more people to their booth as a result of the diversity!<\/p>\n<p>The booth became so popular that people came from all over just to see them! This led to the group starting a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OldCootsGivingBadAdvice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook page<\/a>\u00a0and ultimately a podcast so people could phone in with their questions for their favorite \u2018Old Coots.\u2019 Who knew a simple idea of a booth at a farmer\u2019s marker would lead to a successful podcast for these old timers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FOldCootsGivingBadAdvice%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0Xa8m3R3i4dGgpqSfBrvTL7yuMzhidyrgvd7Bsiqss1yfMqpedsqgvh8SQBQJt7Eyl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"684\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey know everything, simple as that!\u201d said one fan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are the wisest old coots you\u2019ve ever asked advice from,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n<p>Their popularity even led them to an appearance on the Good Morning America\u00a0show! The men have really made a name for themselves with their genuine personalities and earnest advice!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What a lovely initiative to start a booth just to give free advice to young people!
