Back To The Future\u00a0<\/em>star Michael J Fox has revealed he\u2019s open to getting back into acting four years after he announced his retirement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From his appearances in\u00a0Spin City, The Good Wife,<\/em>\u00a0and, of course, the\u00a0Back To The Future\u00a0<\/em>franchise,\u00a0Fox<\/a>\u00a0was a\u00a0Hollywood<\/a>\u00a0staple for decades for many film and TV fans.<\/p>\n

However, in 2020, Fox announced his decision to step away from the camera as he wrote in his\u00a0memoir<\/a>\u00a0No Time Like the Future<\/em>\u00a0that he was entering a \u2018second retirement\u2019.<\/p>\n

Fox previously took time out of the spotlight when he was diagnosed with\u00a0Parkinson\u2019s disease<\/a>\u00a0in 1991.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Fox explained how it was another\u00a0movie<\/a>\u00a0that helped solidify his decision to retire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought of\u00a0Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em>,\u201d he told Empire. \u201cThere\u2019s a scene where\u00a0Leonardo DiCaprio\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0character can\u2019t remember his lines anymore.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe goes back to his dressing room and he\u2019s screaming at himself in the mirror. Just freaking insane. I had this moment where I was looking in the mirror and thought, \u2018I cannot remember it anymore.’\u201d<\/p>\n

When he first announced his retirement, however, Fox noted that his decision \u2018could change\u2019, and he recently returned to the screen for the 2023\u00a0documentary<\/a>\u00a0Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie.<\/em><\/p>\n

He still hasn\u2019t acted on screen since 2020, but in a new conversation with Entertainment Tonight Fox\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0he would be open to making a comeback.<\/p>\n

Now 62-years-old, Fox said: \u201cIf someone offers me a part and I do it and I have a good time, great. I would do acting if something came up that I could put my realities into it, my challenges, if I could figure it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox went on to admit that creating the documentary was a \u2018big thrill\u2019 for him \u2013 but while he isn\u2019t against returning to the screen, Fox made clear that acting again isn\u2019t one of his big goals in life.<\/p>\n

He described the documentary as \u2018fun\u2019, but added: \u201cI never would have set that as a goal. It just happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy goals are always shifting. My biggest goal, I think, was to raise a family,\u201d Fox said.<\/p>\n

Referring to\u00a0his wife<\/a>\u00a0Tracy Pollan, who he met on the set of\u00a0Family Ties<\/em>\u00a0in 1985, Fox continued: \u201cWe have four amazing kids and that\u2019s been the big thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then the other is with the work we\u2019ve done with the foundation and wanting to achieve those goals.\u201d<\/p>\n
