{"id":10931,"date":"2024-04-14T09:12:42","date_gmt":"2024-04-14T09:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=10931"},"modified":"2024-04-14T09:12:42","modified_gmt":"2024-04-14T09:12:42","slug":"social-media-users-are-left-divided-after-dominos-delivery-driver-revealed-how-much-she-made-in-tips-from-one-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=10931","title":{"rendered":"Social media users are left divided after Dominos delivery driver revealed how much she made in tips from one night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Domino\u2019s worker has stunned the internet in a viral TikTok after she revealed how much money she makes in one night from tips.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re all guilty when it comes to ordering takeout from time to time \u2013 maybe it\u2019s for a special occasion, maybe it\u2019s because cooking seems like too much effort, or perhaps it just tastes better than anything that can be whipped up at home.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to tap our phones a few times and have food show up at our front door should probably be considered one of the wonders of the modern world \u2013 but do we appreciate the people who make this service possible enough?<\/p>\n<p>A Domino\u2019s delivery driver (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@allison_green0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@allison_green0<\/a>) has taken to TikTok where she revealed exactly how much she makes in one night just from customers\u2019 tips.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/embed\/v2\/7176484581833723182\" width=\"100%\" height=\"500px\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The viral video released on December 13 currently stands at over 755,000 views, and Allison has made several follow-up videos tracking her nightly tips.<\/p>\n<p>It began with an order totaling $46.17 to be paid in cash, and the customer handed Allison $50 instructing her to keep the change, meaning she takes a $3.83 tip from the first delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The second order was done via credit card totaling $36.33, but Allison received no tip. \u201cIt\u2019s okay because that happens,\u201d she optimistically said with a smile.<\/p>\n<p>The third delivery is where things started looking up, as the customer handed over a $10 tip for an order of just over $37.<\/p>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1263257209\" src=\"https:\/\/img.vt.co\/2022\/12\/GettyImages-3362000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/div>\n<p><em class=\"caption\">Credit: Joe Raedle \/ Getty<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the evening, Allison delivered 11 orders with the final customer being another who handed over no tip with an order of over $50.<\/p>\n<p>For this shift, Allison received $13 in cash tips and $42.29 in credit card tips across all the orders, which averages out to a tip of $5.03 per delivery.<\/p>\n<p>She dubbed the evening \u201cnot terrible for a Monday, but it could be better,\u201d while she added that the total does not include her reimbursement for gas.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers seemed to largely support Allison, with one person saying: \u201cYou are so positive, even with the [non-tipping] customers. Great attitude, you\u2019ll go far with that. I feel like those customers should be tracked. After 5 no tip orders they get banned,\u201d with a third concluding: \u201cI can\u2019t believe people don\u2019t tip at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy Dominos is 1.3 miles away, and I tip the driver $10. I always worried that wasn\u2019t enough, I can\u2019t understand people who don\u2019t tip at all,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n<p>However, as always when it comes to the discussion of tipping, there were many viewers who were against the culture and expectations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t tip for any delivery driver.
