Certain privileges come with being a member of the armed services when serving your country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Although it may not be anything fancy, these discounts come as a small gesture of appreciation. A tradition that we associate with certain businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A KFC store in Ohio decided to get in on the action lately as well.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Once the sign was posted by the store it generated multiple online reactions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2756\" src=\"https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K1-1.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K1-1.png 693w, https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K1-1-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K1-1-150x150.png 150w\" alt=\"\" width=\"693\" height=\"693\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Generally\u00a0irrespective of time or the date the store policy was to allow all dressed in uniform to dine for free. This original idea was to offer a discount on the chicken to show appreciation to local officers. Ultimately this new policy was about to receive additional attention online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Many discussions were prompted when this image was posted on a Facebook page called Ohio Going Blue\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Despite having over 10,000 likes and 6000 shares there were many viewpoints<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2757\" src=\"https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K2-1.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K2-1.png 465w, https:\/\/www.viral-stories.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/K2-1-300x245.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"379\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Commenters wondered if it was even necessary to give this offer to police. Other remarks indicated that as an officer they would prefer not to be given special attention and in fact pay for it themselves. Comments from facebook page admins:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a positive post, but some of you can\u2019t see the bigger picture. As an officer, I do not go into any establishment expecting ANYTHING to be free if I\u2019m in uniform or not. \u00a0There are other officers who feel similar. We don\u2019t like \u201cspecial treatment\u201d. The reason for the post is because KFC is\u00a0acknowledging law enforcement. To those who stated that other first responders should also be acknowledged. My answer?
