People hit back at Ellen DeGeneres and brought up the allegations of bullying against the former host<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ellen DeGeneres once upon a time was one of the most beloved TV hosts in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Millions around the\u00a0world<\/a>\u00a0watched her show for a few laughs and hot takes about current affairs, while many sought to get on the\u00a0Ellen DeGeneres<\/a>\u00a0show to showcase their talent or spread their message.<\/p>\n

However, her image of a sweet and endearing person came crashing down after allegations were levied against the\u00a0star<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2022, DeGeneres was hit with claims that she\u00a0fostered a very \u2018toxic\u2019 work environment<\/a>\u00a0for staff and was nothing like her onscreen persona.<\/p>\n

There were also allegations of\u00a0racism<\/a>, sexual misconduct and intimidation at the hands of three executive producers who worked on the show.<\/p>\n

Despite the producers being fired, and Ellen claiming not to have known anything about the allegations, the reputation of the show was irreparable.<\/p>\n

This ultimately resulted in the show coming to swift end after over 19 years on air.<\/p>\n

Since then, the comedian has been laying low but has sought to get back in the limelight with a comedy tour, titled\u00a0Ellen\u2019s Last Stand\u2026 Up Tour<\/em>, which kicked earlier this week in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During one of her shows, she chose to address the ending of her show and claimed to have been kicked out of show business.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah, I got kicked out of show business. There\u2019s no mean people in show business,\u201d she said to her audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI became this one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps. Do you know how hard it is to dance up steps? Would a mean person dance up steps?<\/p>\n

\u201cHad I ended my show by saying, \u2018Go f**k yourself,\u2019 people would\u2019ve been pleasantly surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then added: \u201cFor those of you keeping score, this is the second time I\u2019ve been kicked out of show business. Eventually they\u2019re going to kick me out for a third time because I\u2019m mean, old, and gay.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, on\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0this didn\u2019t sit well with many who said it was because she was a \u2018toxic\u2019 boss that brought the end to her popularity\u00a0in the industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know about her being a bully, but she is a very obvious social climber who aligns herself with those she thinks are most popular. She\u2019s so not relatable anymore, and doesn\u2019t seem to want to be,\u201d one user wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cEllen fumbled her bag on network television and like every embarrassed bag fumbler it\u2019s never her fault,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, you became a bad out of touch person with your fame and were eventually exposed,\u201d added a third user.<\/p>\n

Another person simply shared an image of Dakota Johnson from her time on the Ellen Show with the text that read, \u2018Actually, no, that\u2019s not the truth Ellen\u2019.<\/p>\n
