Goodell was left with the clue: \u201cBR-S-ING \u2014 ON \u2014 ITALIAN SA-SAGE,\u201d and he obviously understood that each word in the phrase related to the previous word in the puzzle by way of a popular phrase or word pairing to make up a new phrase.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3503\" src=\"http:\/\/fadnews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/WOF-It-Saus-Clue-550x309-1-300x169.webp\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fadnews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/WOF-It-Saus-Clue-550x309-1-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/fadnews24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/WOF-It-Saus-Clue-550x309-1.webp 550w\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><br \/>\nWheel of Fortune (Photo Credit: Screenshot)<\/p>\n<p>An example of a \u201cbefore &amp; after\u201d puzzle could be \u201cNewspaper Article of Clothing,\u201d where \u201cNewspaper article\u201d and \u201cArticle of clothing\u201d \u2014 both being common phrases or word pairings \u2014 are combined into a new, nonsensical phrase. Another might be \u201cTickled Pink Floyd,\u201d where \u201cTickled Pink\u201d and \u201cPink Floyd\u201d are smashed together into a new phrase.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for \u201cWheel of Fortune,\u201d when Goodell unveiled the answer to such a puzzle on a Thursday night, many found the newly created phrase to be too risque. Combining \u201cBrushing up on my Italian\u201d and \u201cItalian sausage\u201d for the \u201cbefore &amp; after\u201d puzzle, the answer was \u201cBrushing up on my Italian sausage,\u201d according to Fox News. Goodell earned $2,450 for solving the puzzle and was able to advance to the bonus round, The Sun reported, but it was the flurry of comments on social media that made headlines as viewers expressed both bewilderment and amusement over the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI found the \u2018Brushing up on my Italian sausage\u2019 puzzle on #WheelofFortune tonight hilarious for some reason!\u201d said one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Brushing up on my Italian sausage\u2019 may be one of the most lurid-sounding #WheelofFortune puzzles ever,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBruh what intern must [have] made the puzzle \u2018brushing up on my Italian sausage\u2019 I\u2019m dead,\u201d wrote a third.<\/p>\n<p>With one viewer attributing the puzzle to an intern, another suggested it must have been devised by \u201cJanice in accounting.\u201d Yet another deemed the puzzle \u201ckinky\u201d as another user quipped, \u201cI think the jokes write themselves.\u201d Of course, not everyone was laughing. This is obviously a before and after puzzle. Brushing up on my Italian, Italian sausage,\u201d the commenter suggested. So, is this the result of a \u201csick mind\u201d? If so, does the sick mind belong to the creator of the puzzle, who allegedly went too far, or the \u201coffended\u201d viewer with the \u201ckinky\u201d perception of it?
