The lefty women of ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d discussed efforts by a politically moderate organization to field a candidate for the presidency next year, with one co-host voicing the most concerns about it.<\/p>\n
Ana Navarro, a self-proclaimed Republican who regularly spouts anti-conservative rhetoric, blasted efforts by a group called No Labels to field a third-party presidential candidate next year, claiming it would only help former President Donald Trump by peeling away votes from President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n
After acknowledging that her husband, political strategist Al C\u00e1rdenas, had been involved with No Labels in the past, she expressed her opinion that putting up a third-party candidate this time around is \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think this is the stupidest thing ever,\u201d Navarro said during the Monday program.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd let me just say this, my husband has been very supportive of No Labels,\u201d Navarro continued. \u201cHe\u2019s been a part of No Labels. When No Labels started, one of the things they did was bring together a bunch of people in Congress, Senate, and House, with a bipartisan agenda. It was Republicans and Democrats trying to work together on some of the crises that we have in this nation, and I think that part is so needed and so great.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut this is dangerous because \u2014 let\u2019s just put things in context,\u201d she added. \u201cThis is not a normal thing. This is not Bill Clinton versus George Herbert Walker Bush with Ross Perot playing spoiler.\u00a0No<\/em>. This is Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n
