Joanna Anderson’s Airbnb experience was less than ideal<\/h2>\n

A Tiktoker has left viewers baffled after recording her Airbnb stay, which saw numerous notes left around the home by the owner.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve not booked yourself an Airbnb before, there have been a few incidents involving additional fees and charges for ridiculous things in the past.<\/p>\n

There have also been incidents with rowdy owners and their strict rules, but this takes the top spot.<\/p>\n

When a woman on\u00a0TikTok<\/a> showed viewers clips of her rented accommodation and the fees she incurred just by using essential amenities, people began coming up with wild theories.<\/p>\n

Joanna Anderson\u2019s viral clip saw her on the phone to the landlady, quizzing her about the extra $937.73 added on to her bill.<\/p>\n

Joanna Anderson was in for a shock when her bill came through. (TikTok\/ @getlostwebsite)<\/cite><\/div>\n

According to her footage, there were a series of handwritten notes telling her that there were charges for things like WiFi, the pool table, TV and laundry machine.<\/p>\n

One note read on the router: \u201cWiFi is free on the first day of your stay but will be charged at \u00a310.00 ($12.67) per day per device thereafter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another note on washing appliances told Joanna that \u2018the washing machine will be charged at \u00a35.00 ($6.34) per wash. No exception.’<\/p>\n

There was even a note on an armchair indicating she must \u2018not sit in this chair, it was my deceased husband’s favorite one’.<\/p>\n

Aside from notes about charges and things that she can\u2019t sit on, it also included a note that the house is \u2018vegan\u2019 and needs to be respected and that \u2018no meat\u2019 or meat products can be used in the microwave.<\/p>\n

In the end, her call to clear up the breakdown of the charges proved to be even more strange.<\/p>\n

She was told by the owner that the extortionate charge came from her using the pool table twice and washing two loads of laundry.<\/p>\n

Anderson asked her how she knew she had used the pool table, to which the host quickly told her that everything had been put back in a different place.<\/p>\n

At the end of the video, Anderson and the owner agree to both take it up with Airbnb and that she could dispute the charges.<\/p>\n

Someone wrote: \u201cI feel like there were cameras in that Airbnb.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another agreed: \u201cHidden cams. Call police and a lawyer. Knowing something was used twice means she\u2019s watching.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else queried: \u201cShe said you used the pool table twice – if you put it back wrong how can she tell if it was once or 10 times?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Airbnb website claims that hosts cannot collect additional fees outside of the platform unless they have authorization to do so by the company itself.<\/p>\n
