63-year-old Cheryl and her 26-year-old husband are overjoyed to welcome a child to their family<\/h2>\n

A couple who have faced a lot of criticism online for their age gap have announced the happy news that they are expecting their first child.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cheryl McCain is 63-years-old and has 18 grandchildren, but it’s her\u00a0relationship<\/a>\u00a0with husband Quran McCain, 26, that has thrust her into the social media spotlight.<\/p>\n

The pair first met when Quran was only 15-years-old when they both worked at a Dairy Queen. While they have said there were no romantic feelings or interactions then, they eventually hit it off when they met again at a gas station by chance.<\/p>\n

Then 23-years-old, after weeks of spending time together, Quran confessed his feelings and they began a relationship in April 2021, tying the knot in September before creating joint social media accounts to document their lives together.<\/p>\n

However, Cheryl\u2019s children had an issue with the union.<\/p>\n

Cheryl said: “I have seven kids but I only see one of them as the others do not support our relationship. It hurts me, it hurts me a lot.<\/p>\n

“They were my whole life and all of a sudden I wanted to be married to someone I had fallen in love with and they didn’t support that. I have 18 grandchildren and I only see three of them.”<\/p>\n

Now, the couple have announced that they had found a surrogate and are adding a baby of their own to their\u00a0family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cheryl shared a\u00a0TikTok<\/a>\u00a0video on her\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0page, which shows her holding up images of the sonogram.<\/p>\n

She also addresses some of her critics with a video caption: \u2018You\u2019re too old to be starting a family\u2019 as she mimed: ‘I don\u2019t give a f**k, I got my mind made up’.<\/p>\n

The couple have also spoken out at how happy they are to be welcoming a child into their marriage.<\/p>\n

Cheryl said: “It was an amazing feeling to find out we were going to have a baby. We get to start our own family. I am the happiest now than I have ever been before. It will make our family so much happier as we will love the baby unconditionally.”<\/p>\n

Quran added: “I cried with tears of joy when I found out. This will be my very first child. I have never felt love like this apart from the time I got married to Cheryl.<\/p>\n
