The singer has called off her summer dates for personal reasons<\/h2>\n

Jennifer Lopez has cancelled her summer tour dates to spend more time with her kids.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This unexpected cancellation comes as rumours circulate in the press that\u00a0the singer<\/a>\u00a0is in the midst of a divorce from husband\u00a0Ben Affleck<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 54-year-old singer announced the tour’s termination in her ‘On the\u00a0JLo<\/a>‘ newsletter.<\/p>\n

She wrote: “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn\u2019t do this if I didn\u2019t feel that it was absolutely necessary.<\/p>\n

“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time\u2026”<\/p>\n

Representatives for Live Nation confirmed that\u00a0This Is Me…Live\u00a0<\/em><\/a>had been called off in a statement, saying: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”<\/p>\n

Sources close to the singer told Page Six that the cancellation was purely for personal reasons, and not related to reportedly low ticket sales.<\/p>\n

The tour had already undergone a rebrand in April, as it was previously called\u00a0This Is Me…Now<\/em>, a nod to her latest album.<\/p>\n

Lopez had created the album in the wake of rekindling her romance with the\u00a0Good Will Hunting<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star, years after they first dated and went their separate ways.<\/p>\n

Upon release, the album debuted at Number 38 in the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0rumours have still circulated that Lopez and Affleck are heading for a second split<\/a>, with sources telling Page Six that divorce was on the way.<\/p>\n

The fact that Affleck did not appear with his wife at\u00a0the Met Gala<\/a>\u00a0in May was taken as a sign that their relationship was in trouble.<\/p>\n

Lopez and Affleck first met in 2001 when they were filming\u00a0Gigli,\u00a0<\/em>with the two becoming a celebrity power couple from 2002 to 2004.<\/p>\n

Affleck popped the question to JLo in November 2002, but their September 2003 wedding was called off due to ‘excessive media attention’.<\/p>\n

They ultimately went their separate ways four months later.<\/p>\n

Fast forward seventeen years to 2021 though, and the two are back together.<\/p>\n
