If you\u2019re anything like me, you\u2019ll have a tendency to look over photos you\u2019ve captured in the hours, days, weeks after you\u2019ve taken them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Personally, I\u2019m a fan of glancing back at such moments often \u2013 after all, such photos are a visible window into the past that otherwise wouldn\u2019t exist.<\/p>\n

For one group of women, however, studying a pair of photos they took just seconds apart left them horrified when they noticed a detail that was more than just a bit chilling\u2026<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve likely all seen your shares of photo mishaps before, when images either becomes strangely blurred, or the classic red-eye effect is in evidence, or something else occurs to ruin what would otherwise be a lovely keepsake from a moment in history. Heck, I\u2019ve even seen pictures that are so distorted \u2013 for whatever reason \u2013 that the people in them don\u2019t even look like people anymore.<\/p>\n

Yet I don\u2019t think I can lay claim to ever having seen something quite like this\u2026<\/p>\n

As per reports,<\/a>\u00a0a group of women on a bachelorette party in Argyll and Bute in\u00a0Scotland, UK were so disturbed by what they saw in a pair of photos they had snapped, that they canceled what should have been a weekend of fun and games, instead opting to return home.<\/p>\n

The celebrations in question were set to take place at a remote estate, and the party kicked off things by doing what pretty much any large group of friends would do: take a series of photos before things descended into chaos.<\/p>\n

The first of their images shows the group smiling before a set of logs, a picturesque lake in the background.<\/p>\n

Yet in the group\u2019s purported second photo, taken just seconds after the first, a little boy appears to be poking his head above the logs.<\/p>\n

Sounds creepy? Well, the tale is said to take an even weirder turn as the estate has a rather grim backstory that \u2013 in light of the photo \u2013 is impossible to ignore.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, there was a film made in 1994 named\u00a0The Blue Boy,\u00a0<\/em>about a young boy who drowned in Lock Eck. Screenwriter Paul Murton revealed that he had based the tale on a story he heard from a local hotelier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was talking to the hotelier about it and he mentioned the Blue Boy,\u201d Murton said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis, he said, was a young child who had been on holiday with his parents in the hotel and he had been sleepwalking during the night. He had strayed outside, fallen into the loch, and drowned.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they found his body it was blue with the cold. Hotel staff had noticed that things like cutlery and plates were often out of place for no apparent reason \u2013 perhaps more sinister than that was the fact that they sometimes found wet footprints upstairs in the corridor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Needless to say, the group of women were too unsettled to remain on their weekend, and packed up their things in short order.<\/p>\n

The legitimacy of the photo with the little boy has been called into question online, though at the time of writing there\u2019s been no official verdict given from the women present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
