Besides the 2022\u00a0iPhone<\/a>\u00a0SE, anyone who possesses an\u00a0Apple<\/a>\u00a0mobile manufactured after the iPhone X will not have a home button to press on their\u00a0smartphone<\/a>.<\/p>\n That\u2019s because, in 2017, Apple made the devise decision to wave goodbye to the home button and swapped out\u00a0Touch ID<\/a> for advanced recognition instead.<\/p>\n At the time of the home button\u2019s departure,\u00a0tech fans<\/a>\u00a0mourned the loss and now a new report claims the\u00a0California<\/a>-based company is gearing up to abandon traditional buttons altogether with its forthcoming model.<\/p>\n Prior to its eradication, the home button was a multi-functioning tool used to unlock your smartphone and close down apps.<\/p>\n However, Apple executives decided to do away with it as they wanted to iPhone X to enable consumers to experience \u2018new fluid user experiences\u2019.<\/p>\n At the time of the smartphone\u2019s release, Philip Schiller, Apple\u2019s former senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said: \u201cFrom unlocking your iPhone with Face ID to playing immersive AR games, to sharing Animoji in Messages – it is the beginning of the next ten years for iPhone.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the home button exit, Apple introduced the \u2018home bar\u2019 or \u2018home indicator\u2019 to the iPhone X.<\/p>\n This line, which resides at the bottom of your iPhone, is used to switch between and close open apps by swiping left, right or directly on the line.<\/p>\n People are only just discovering the function of the ‘home bar’.
