Amber Heard has reportedly changed her name and has moved to a new country following the brutal trial with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.<\/p>\n

Depp’s<\/a>\u00a02022 defamation trial against\u00a0Heard<\/a>\u00a0was one of the most talked-about court cases of all time.<\/p>\n

After first meeting in 2009, the pair seemingly hit it off and later got married in 2015, only to divorce two years later.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Heard posted an online article in the Washington Post titled: \u201cI spoke up against sexual violence \u2013 and faced our culture\u2019s wrath.<\/p>\n

“That has to change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite not mentioning Depp by name, his lawyers claimed that it falsely implied that he physically and sexually abused Heard while they were together.<\/p>\n

When the\u00a0Aquaman<\/em>\u00a0star was sued for defamation in 2022, it was the start of a highly-publicised court case – which then led to Heard countersuing and accusing her ex-husband of fronting a ‘smear campaign’ against her.<\/p>\n

In 2023,\u00a0Channel 4<\/a>\u00a0released\u00a0Depp v. Heard<\/em>\u00a0and recently, Netflix has recently put it back on the platform.<\/p>\n

And it’s currently number one in their ‘Top 10 TV programmes in the UK Today’.<\/p>\n

After almost three weeks of trial in Virginia,\u00a0US<\/a>, the\u00a0Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em>\u00a0actor’s\u00a0legal team convinced a jury that Heard’s 2018 article was defamatory.<\/a><\/p>\n

Depp was awarded $15 million (\u00a312 million), later capped at $10.35 million (\u00a38.27 million) by Judge Penny Azcarate.<\/p>\n

In a separate verdict regarding her counterclaim,\u00a0Heard also received $2 million\u00a0<\/a>(\u00a31.6 million) in damages.<\/p>\n

Now two years later, the 38-year-old, has seemingly moved on from the ordeal by leaving the US shortly after the trial.<\/p>\n

Heard has reportedly moved to Mallorca, Spain, to start a new life with her daughter.<\/p>\n

She’ll be hard to look up though, after El Diario de Mallorca\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0that she’s even changed her name.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood star is said to go by Martha Jane Cannary, the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane, according to reports.<\/p>\n

“The choice of this identity, which appears at the entrance of her new Mallorcan home, draws much attention,” El Diario de Mallorca wrote.<\/p>\n

“Especially as Johnny Depp always maintained that his family trace their roots to ancient Native American tribes and that his great-great-grandmother was Cherokee.”<\/p>\n

Heard also happens to be fluent in Spanish, telling reporters in 2023 that she loves her new location.<\/p>\n

“I love Spain so much.” she said, and when asked if she planned on staying in the country, she replied: “Yes, I hope so.”<\/p>\n

Heard added: “Yes, I love living here.”<\/p>\n

“She is focused on raising her daughter,” a source\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0PEOPLE in 2022. “She spends every day with her girl. They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Depp, 61, is also reportedly in a ‘good place’.<\/p>\n
