The former McDonald’s chef has shared expert advice on what you shouldn’t order and why<\/h2>\n

There is a lot to McLove at McDonald\u2019s but a former chef has revealed what customers should avoid ordering.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unless you have been living under or on a very isolated rock, you\u2019ll be very aware of just how popular the\u00a0fast food<\/a>\u00a0behemoth\u00a0McDonald\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0is.<\/p>\n

Everybody has got their go to order<\/a>, either for a celebration or a cheeky hangover meal.<\/p>\n

Due to its popularity, finding out the inner workings of the restaurant is always fascinating – and that is where Mike Haracz comes in.<\/p>\n

Haracz is a former McDonald’s chef and also held the title of Manager of Culinary Innovation for the\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0menu for four years.<\/p>\n

So, when he takes to\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0many people are curious about what he thinks.<\/p>\n

Haracz has previously given explanations about why\u00a0McDonald\u2019s ketchup tastes so distinct<\/a>\u00a0and has\u00a0debunked theories about the chain<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Most recently, he has told his fans what he would and wouldn\u2019t recommend when it comes to ordering.<\/p>\n

He says he wouldn’t order the iconic bagel breakfast sandwich as it is and would switch the standard folded egg to either a round egg or the scrambled option.<\/p>\n

And timing, according to Haracz, is everything.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cI feel like the folded egg used on their breakfast sandwiches tends to be dry and lack flavor.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the new bun is not as good as it used to be, so I would recommend asking for it steamed for a better burger experience.”<\/p>\n

Haracz did clarify that his advice was based on \u2018personal taste preference\u2019, however. He reiterated there is nothing to avoid from a food safety perspective.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe best option is the quarter pounder with cheese, but you need to eat it within a few minutes of being served to know the difference.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe US has switched to cooking fresh beef to order for quarter pounders.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you wait too long to eat it, all of the quality improvements are lost and it tastes the way that it used to.\u201d<\/p>\n

And I’d take his word on this, there’s nothing worse than a lukewarm McDonald\u2019s burger.<\/p>\n
