Gordon Ramsay had some advice about getting the best meal out of your restaurant experience<\/h2>\n

Gordon Ramsay is serving up some sound advice to those who want the fine dining experience with his three ‘golden rules’ for eating in a restaurant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you’re next out for some food and believe you can simply order whatever you want from the menu, be warned.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s one section of the menu you should never order from, and that\u2019s coming from a certified expert on\u00a0food<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ramsay<\/a>\u00a0has been giving us his culinary opinion for over 20 years and his restaurant group Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has been awarded 17 Michelin stars overall.<\/p>\n

So it’s safe to say he knows his stuff.<\/p>\n

The 57-year-old is mostly known for his potty-mouthed outbursts on the likes of\u00a0Hell\u2019s Kitchen<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Kitchen Nightmares<\/em>, and he\u2019s never shied away from telling us what he thinks.<\/p>\n

On an episode of the\u00a0High Performance\u00a0<\/em>podcast, host Jake Humphrey asked the chef: “How much did you think about your\u00a0TV<\/a>\u00a0persona?”<\/p>\n

To which Ramsay bluntly replied: “I didn’t, I didn’t give a s**t.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “It wasn’t a format for me, it wasn’t about IP or format or success. Remember the first program it was 5.8 million viewers on Channel Four.<\/p>\n

“So, then all the intrusion started. Then everyone wanted to know who you were, what was your background, what makes this guy tick?<\/p>\n

“I’m like, ‘I’m the same on or off’.”<\/p>\n

In a previous interview with the Daily Mail, Ramsay shared what he’s learned from his years in the restaurant industry, and what not to order on the menu.<\/p>\n

The restaurant owner spoke about his three golden rules for eating in a restaurant, telling diners they should be wary of any place which throws around ‘suspicious boasts’ about the quality of their food.<\/p>\n

If you hear a restaurant say things like ‘famous’ or ‘best in the country’ without any further evidence to back them up, that sets the chef’s alarm bells ringing and makes him wonder: “Who said that? Who named that?”<\/p>\n

He also shared a trick to getting the best bottles of wine for a bargain price, saying you should ask for the ‘bin end’ list which is comprised of bottles with scratched labels or vintages which haven’t sold well.<\/p>\n

He explained that you ask for a bottle of whatever is recommended for no more than $30, as that can get you an under-appreciated splash of wine to your table without costing too much.<\/p>\n

However, Ramsay’s top tip was all about the one thing you shouldn’t pick off the menu when the waiter comes.<\/p>\n

It turns out that the dish in question is anything off the specials board, especially if there’s a lot of options on there.<\/p>\n

He said: “Specials are there to disappear throughout the evening. When they list 10 specials that’s not special.”<\/p>\n
