The comedian has been dropped following comments made about Donald J Trump.<\/h2>\n

Tenacious D\u2019s Kyle Gass has been dropped by their talent agent following the ongoing fallout regarding his comments about the assassination of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Jack Black<\/a>\u00a0announced today, July 17, that the duo\u2019s\u00a0world tour would be cancelled<\/a>, and that he would be pausing all future creative endeavours with Gass.<\/p>\n

Black said he was \u2018blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday\u2019.<\/p>\n

In a show in Sydney on Sunday, Jack Black presented the comedian with a birthday cake and asked what he wished for.<\/p>\n

Kyle Gass responded by saying: \u201cDon\u2019t miss Trump next time\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter have since\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0that they have learned that Gass has been dropped by his agency, Greene Talent.<\/p>\n

The comedian has apologised for his comments in a statement on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gass said in his statement: \u201cThe line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened was a tragedy, and I\u2019m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgment. I profoundly apologize to those I\u2019ve let down and truly regret any pain I\u2019ve caused.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gass\u2019 statement came following the news that the duos world tour would be cancelled.<\/p>\n

Jack Black<\/a>\u00a0posted a statement on Instagram announcing the news where he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter much reflection I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clips of Gass joking about the assassination attempt on former\u00a0President Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0caused outrage.<\/p>\n

The duo were on their\u00a0Australian<\/a>\u00a0leg of the tour, with one Australian senator, Ralph Babet, demanding the pair have their visas revoked and are removed from the country.<\/p>\n

Babet said: \u201cI call on the prime minister Anthony Albanese to join me in denouncing Tenacious D, Jack Black and band member Kyle Gass, and I call on the immigration minister Andrew Giles to revoke their visas and deport them immediately.<\/p>\n
