Madonna\u2019s son claims he\u2019s been \u2018scavenging\u2019 for food since he moved out of his mom\u2019s mansion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Banda, 18, is living in\u00a0New York<\/a>\u00a0with his girlfriend, Maria Atuesta, but is apparently struggling for money, despite Madonna being worth\u00a0$850 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although he admitted that he didn\u2019t have enough cash for\u00a0food<\/a>, David doesn\u2019t seem to mind, and says he\u2019s \u2018loving it\u2019<\/p>\n

When asked how he feels about living on his own,\u00a0he said<\/a>\u00a0as per The Sun: I love it. I\u2019m not on my own, I\u2019ve got my\u00a0girlfriend<\/a>. But I love it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s lovely to experience it being nine o\u2019clock at night, me being hungry and realising that I don\u2019t have enough money to get food and scavenging. It\u2019s fun to be young.\u201d<\/p>\n

David was born in\u00a0Malawi<\/a>\u00a0in 2005 and was adopted by\u00a0Madonna<\/a>\u00a0and Guy Ritchie in 2006, while the pair were visiting the country.<\/p>\n

David was aged just one at the time and was adopted from an orphanage called Home of Hope.<\/p>\n

The couple had some legal issues to contend with, due to a requirement in Malawi for\u00a0adoptive parents<\/a>\u00a0to live in the country for 18 months, but the adoption was approved in 2008.<\/p>\n

Madonna has often spoken about her close bond with David. In 2019,\u00a0she told<\/a>\u00a0British Vogue: \u201cHe\u2019s the one I have the most in common with.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madonna is also mom to Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, Mercy, 18, and twins Estere and Stella, who are both 11.<\/p>\n

Madonna recently praised all of her children for their support during her recent\u00a0illness<\/a>, in which she contracted a life-threatening bacterial infection.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cRehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me recover from a near death experience. They never stopped practicing\u2026 they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir enthusiasm kept me Going!!!<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! . am so very proud of all of them.<\/p>\n
