Angela Carini threw in the towel after 46 seconds against Imane Khelif<\/h2>\n

Jake Paul has made Angela Carini a huge offer amid the 2024 Olympic boxing controversy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Algeria’s\u00a0Imane Khelif’s<\/a>\u00a0fight against Carini earlier this week was a contentious one.<\/p>\n

Italian boxer\u00a0Carini abandoned the welterweight 16 round bout<\/a>\u00a0after just a few punches and 46 seconds of fighting.<\/p>\n

She explained in a later interview that she ‘didn’t succeed’ because she simply ‘couldn’t fight anymore’.<\/p>\n

The International Olympic Committee has reaffirmed\u00a0Khelif is eligible to compete in this year’s Olympics<\/a>, despite previously being banned from taking part in other competitions.<\/p>\n

“Everyone competing in the women’s category is complying with the competition eligibility rules,” IOC spokesperson Mark Adams said.<\/p>\n

“They are women in their passports, and it’s stated that this is the case that they are female.”<\/p>\n

The Algerian was disqualified from last year’s IBA Women\u2019s World Boxing Championships after she failed a gender eligibility test.<\/p>\n

The International Boxing Association claimed this was due to elevated levels of testosterone.<\/p>\n

Khelif failed due to IBA eligibility rules preventing athletes with XY chromosomes from competing in women\u2019s events, Reuters reports.<\/p>\n

As for Carini, it seems she has now been offered an opportunity from none other than YouTuber-turned-boxer\u00a0Paul<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Taking to Twitter, the social media influencer said: “To Angela Carini although your dreams couldn\u2019t come true today because of the crazy agendas that are at play in our world at the moment.<\/p>\n

“I would love to offer you to fight on an MVP undercard. Internet help this find her.”<\/p>\n

Paul then followed up with another invitation to the boxer in her native Italian language.<\/p>\n

Carini is yet to respond at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

The boxer himself runs Most Valuable Promotions, which has a record of supporting women’s boxing.<\/p>\n

World champion Amanda Serrano is one of those who has featured in a prominent spot on one of Paul’s card.<\/p>\n

Carini bowed out of the match at theOlympics<\/a>\u00a0after less than a minute, a decision that shocked many.<\/p>\n

However, the fighter has since come out and\u00a0explained her reasoning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press after the bout, Carini said: “This time I didn’t succeed because I couldn’t fight anymore.<\/p>\n

“I put an end to the match because after the second blow, after years of experience in the ring and a life of fighting, I felt a strong pain in my nose.<\/p>\n

“I said ‘that’s enough’ because […] I could not bring the match to an end. So I thought, maybe it’s better to put an end to the match.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
