Gordon visited restaurants across the UK, US, France and Spain during his years filming the iconic show<\/h2>\n

More than 80 percent of restaurants on\u00a0Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares\u00a0<\/em>have apparently permanently closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The iconic show saw Gordon, 57, bulldozing into different eateries in the\u00a0UK<\/a>,\u00a0US<\/a>, France and\u00a0Spain<\/a>\u00a0and telling the staff (or yelling at them) about what they’re doing wrong in order to get the restaurant in shape.<\/p>\n

The show has always been a favourite, with fans loving watching\u00a0Gordon<\/a>\u00a0transforming the\u00a0restaurants<\/a>\u00a0into popular and profitable establishments.<\/p>\n

But it turns out that many of the restaurants that appeared on the show are now closed.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0LADbible<\/a>, 80 percent of the eateries that appeared on the show have now closed their doors.<\/p>\n

Of the 105 restaurants visited by the celeb chef across the UK, US, France and Spain, only around 19 of them are still operating.<\/p>\n

Of course, it’s important to remember that the show is built on the fact that the restaurants are struggling.<\/p>\n

On top of that, much of the show was filmed a long time ago – and way before the covid pandemic, which was particularly damaging to restaurants.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, we told you how\u00a0one New Orleans restaurant tried to sue Gordon<\/a>\u00a0after a video of him vomiting in their restaurant resurfaced on Facebook.<\/p>\n

The restaurant was not impressed, after a video resurfaced on\u00a0Facebook<\/a>\u00a0in 2018 depicting Gordon vomiting in their restaurant, after smelling a container filled with shrimp.<\/p>\n

According to Oceana Grill, the clip was over-dramatised for the show, and it didn\u2019t state that it happened seven years ago.<\/p>\n

The video was taken from a season finale which aired in 2011, but was made available to watch on Facebook for 24 hours before it was taken down.<\/p>\n

Gordon also filmed discovering three dead mice in the restaurant as part of the episode.<\/p>\n

Cajun Conti, the company that owns Oceana Grill, have stated: \u201cNone of the above-described events were real, but were contrived and orchestrated by defendants to manufacture drama for their show.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lawsuit reads: \u201cDuring the episode\u2019s filming, defendants went to great lengths to over-dramatise and even fabricate problems with the restaurant in order to increase ratings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe footage intentionally portrayed Oceana and its employees in a patently false and negative light, as it depicted the appealing restaurant as an unsuccessful, unsanitary and mismanaged restaurant.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, despite the clip, the restaurant is one of the eateries that’s actually still thriving all these years on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
