Zooey Deschanel went on\u00a0Carpool Karaoke\u00a0<\/em>by Apple TV+ with her sister, fellow actress Emily Deschanel, and expected to have fun. What she did not expect was to find the perfect man for her. Appearing alongside the Deschanel sisters were the popular\u00a0Property Brothers<\/a><\/em>, Drew, and Jonathan Scott.<\/p>\n

After filming the episode in the summer of 2019, it seems sparks flew between the younger Deschanel and Jonathan Scott. The actress calls her chance meeting with the reality star a \u2018meet-cute.\u2019<\/p>\n

She marvels at how her entire life changed because of filling just one episode for a show. The\u00a0actress<\/a>\u00a0said in a recent interview, \u201cThis was, like, my meet-cute with Jonathan, my boyfriend. It\u2019s so sweet to see this.\u201d She added,\u00a0\u201cHow many people can say they have them meeting their partner \u2014 the whole, like, first meeting on video? I don\u2019t think that many people can say that \u2014 with our siblings present. Not many people!\u201d<\/p>\n

She revealed how the Deschanel sisters appearing alongside the\u00a0Property Brothers\u00a0<\/em>was no a coincidence. She said, \u201cIt wasn\u2019t random. They had come to me a bunch of times with different people. Some of them I was like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s a good idea,\u2019 but I couldn\u2019t do it and then some of them I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if that makes sense to me.\u2019 When they said the\u00a0Property Brothers<\/em>\u00a0and the Deschanel sisters, I was like, \u2018That\u2019s funny. I like the idea.\u2019 I wasn\u2019t thinking I\u2019d find romance, but I thought we\u2019d find a fun afternoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added with good humor, \u201cBut yeah, I mean, it\u2019s defined me.\u201d She added, \u201cIt was the best publicity \u2014 the best publicity that I\u2019ve ever done, I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

She began dating Jonathan Scott in fall 2019 and they have been going strong ever since then. \u201cIt\u2019s true,\u201d the actress reacted to the saying that we find love when we least expect it. She added, \u201cIt was really worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled singing a Britney Spears song in the car and how Drew Scott had some moves he wanted the quarter to try out. Deschanel said, \u201cI think Drew had this dance.
