Jennifer Lopez’s first husband Ojani Noa explained why he thought their marriage broke down<\/h2>\n

Jennifer Lopez’s first husband says he sympathizes with Ben Affleck as he made a damning claim about how their marriage ended.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jennifer Lopez<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ben Affleck<\/a>\u00a0have been the talk of the\u00a0celebrity<\/a>\u00a0world for a little while now due to their\u00a0relationship<\/a>\u00a0struggles and subsequent divorce.<\/p>\n

While many had suspected their relationship was on the rocks, it eventually came to light that\u00a0J Lo had filed for for divorce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Affleck was often accused of being in a bad mood when he and Lopez appeared before photographers – particularly one moment when he\u00a0slammed a car door behind J.Lo<\/a>\u00a0after opening it for her.<\/p>\n

Lopez’s first husband Ojani Noa said he ‘could see myself doing that too’.<\/p>\n

Recalling similar pressure of living out his relationship in the public eye, he\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the Daily Mail: “We would have \u00addisagreements in the car and then 20 minutes later, we\u2019d have to sit and pretend everything was fine.”<\/p>\n

Noa met J.Lo when he was working as a waiter in Miami in 1997, while the star was filming\u00a0Blood and Wine\u00a0<\/em>with Jack Nicholson and Michael Caine.<\/p>\n

They married the following year, before divorcing 11 months later.<\/p>\n

Noa said: \u201cWe started talking about marriage within months of seriously dating and I asked her to marry me about a year and a half after we met.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was the first, the pioneer. I was there at the beginning of her career supporting her, \u00addealing with her anxieties and insecurities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ojani wasn\u2019t shy about tooting his own horn. He argued that he was \u2018a really good husband\u2019 because he believes in marriage and was ultimately left \u2018heartbroken\u2019 when the pair split.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI feel when she got what she wanted, I was no longer needed.<\/p>\n

Ojani wasn\u2019t shy about tooting his own horn as he reflected. He argued that he was \u2018a really good husband\u2019(Barry King\/WireImage)<\/cite><\/div>\n

“I put a lot of time and effort into loving her. But when you\u2019re with someone, you have to spend quality time with them and not think about being on camera.<\/p>\n

Despite this pretty damning conclusion, he said he has no ill feelings towards the music star.<\/p>\n

He also had a parting message for the music star amid her ongoing divorce from Affleck and claimed it was important for her to \u2018stay single\u2019 for a while.<\/p>\n

He added: “If she meets someone new, maybe keep it private and not get \u00admarried again.<\/p>\n
