Even after Joey died from cervical cancer when Indy was just two years old, Rory continued to perform and little Indy continued appearing onstage with her father.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-657c7cf88b7e7dbf6d6eca5f57f71fb8\" class=\"newsner-657c7cf88b7e7dbf6d6eca5f57f71fb8 newsner-bluebillywig_instream\"><\/div>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until recently that Indy, expressed her desire to perform alongside her father.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt didn\u2019t take me but a moment to think of which song it should be \u2013 one that I\u2019ve known and loved for years. Actually for decades,\u201d the county singer wrote on his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roryfeek.com\/post\/papa-what-if\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-d040f0d04fd7581ac50d7550efd3e69c\" class=\"newsner-d040f0d04fd7581ac50d7550efd3e69c newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-1248605241\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><iframe class=\" lazyloaded\" title=\"PAPA WHAT IF - rory+indy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FQJEQ2bLJ7Q?feature=oembed\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Rory helped his daughter learned the lyrics to a song he taught his oldest daughter Heidi when she was Indy\u2019s age.<\/p>\n<p>The song? \u201cDaddy What If\u201d by Shel Silverstein.<\/p>\n<p>He typed out the lyrics and then drew pictures next to the parts Indy would sing. What if they recorded the song in a studio? What if they made their own video for it?<\/p>\n<p>In honor of Father\u2019s Day, Rory released the father-daughter duo\u2019s special song.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-ac9bcb1a3d2570ea9330a4832f50a49d\" class=\"newsner-ac9bcb1a3d2570ea9330a4832f50a49d newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-972472370\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>I am thinking of my own father this morning and of Joey\u2019s father Jack. And of my older girls Heidi and Hopie and the gift God gave me to be their father and Indiana\u2019s. And of course, I\u2019m thinking of Joey and how she would so love this moment. To hear our little one sing with her Papa, and see what a beautiful young lady she\u2019s becoming. And to know that the music that was inside her, is also inside her little girl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Their duet was incredibly sweet and moving.
