The guy revealed how much cash he’s saved since he starting driving an electric vehicle<\/h2>\n

If you’ve ever wondered how much cash driving a Tesla could save you, one EV driver has done the math for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s not new information that\u00a0President Biden<\/a>\u00a0has made some ambitious plans to have America’s roads filled with\u00a0electric vehicles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact, the Biden Administration outlined plans last year to have EVs make up at least 50 percent of new car sales by 2030, as well as build a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle chargers along the country’s highways.<\/p>\n

While it’s unclear if these plan will still go ahead when\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0returns to the White House in the New Year, there’s no denying that there’s a lot of perks that come with buying an EV such as a\u00a0Tesla<\/a>, and that they grow more popular as each year passes.<\/p>\n

One key benefit of purchasing an electric car is the\u00a0money you save on gas<\/a>\u00a0– something Tesla owners have long been raving about.<\/p>\n

For example, one person worked out that they’d spent less than\u00a0$400<\/a>\u00a0over a 12 month period to charge their Tesla, which\u00a0worked out to be $0.023 per mile<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In comparison, Americans spent $2,148 on gas over the course of 2021, Motley Fool Money\u00a0reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This went up to an average of $2,449 as of last year,\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0J.D. Power, working out to be around 3.2 percent of a household\u2019s yearly expenses.<\/p>\n

Now, another Tesla owner has opened up about how much money they save each month thanks to their Tesla.<\/p>\n

Appearing on a\u00a0TikTok<\/a>\u00a0with influencer Suleyman Dolaev, the guy explained that he has a Tesla Model 3, and in the five years he’s had it he’s raked up 100,000 miles.<\/p>\n

When asked if he thinks he’s saved money by driving an EV, he said yes – a main part being because he’s able to charge his car at home rather than at a Supercharger.<\/p>\n

“I haven’t seen that much of an increase in my electricity bill,” the Tesla owner added.<\/p>\n
