\u2018Living Nostradamus\u2019 has revealed his 2025 predictions and it\u2019s terrible news for us.<\/p>\n

Here we go again! We have another 2025 prediction list and it\u2019s just as bad as all of the rest.<\/p>\n

Why can\u2019t humanity catch a break?<\/p>\n

Well, we won\u2019t get into all of the reasons as to why humanity is getting a taste of karma, but you know it as well as I do.<\/p>\n

We’re just days away from 2025; now that we\u2019ve enjoyed\u00a0Christmas<\/a>, we are set to welcome the New Year tomorrow night with a few bevvies and nibbles. And with celebrations come a whole new year to enjoy (or not).<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0Brazilian<\/a>\u00a0man Athos Salom\u00e9 has earned the nickname ‘Living Nostradamus’ in the past couple of years thanks to his prophecies about mankind. And considering he reckons some of his predictions have come true, it\u2019s not great news for 2025.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Femail, Salom\u00e9 said that \u2018the world is now at what may turn out to be the most critical cross roads ever\u2019.<\/p>\n

AI will become bigger than ever<\/h2>\n

Salom\u00e9 predicts that next year will see\u00a0Artificial Intelligence<\/a>\u00a0like never before.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cAdvanced systems will be able to operate in multiple domains at the same time, mimicking human reasoning.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn AI will be able to design buildings, plan advertising campaigns and diagnose diseases in a matter of seconds. But as we transfer so much power to machines, the question arises: what happens if we lose control?\u201d<\/p>\n

Quantum computing could be used for good or bad<\/h2>\n

While\u00a0Quantum computing<\/a>\u00a0was \u2018previously restricted to experimental laboratories\u2019, it \u2018could soon solve practical problems\u2019.<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s a catch.<\/p>\n

The seer shared that while it could be useful for \u2018modelling molecules for new medicines\u2019, it with absolutely break \u2018global digital security systems\u2019.<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s banks, governments, or organisations, their cybersecurity could be compromised by quantum computing.<\/p>\n

Okay, so this sounds pretty cool, but it might not be a good idea to try it out.<\/p>\n

He explained that there could be \u2018a future where human brains can connect directly to artificial intelligence\u2019 which would then be able to \u2018treat neurological diseases\u2019.<\/p>\n

This could be fantastic, but it comes at a huge risk of \u2018mental invasion and manipulation of thoughts\u2019.<\/p>\n

According to Salom\u00e9 said: \u201cImplantable chips are on their way to becoming popular. These devices will monitor health, connect users to the internet and potentially allow real-time tracking.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor many, this sounds liberating; for others, it is the harbinger of a world where we are constantly watched.\u201d<\/p>\n

Digital currencies take over physical currencies<\/h2>\n

How about paying for your McDonald\u2019s with your\u00a0bitcoin<\/a>?<\/p>\n

It sounds daft, but Salom\u00e9 predicts that government\u00a0digital currencies<\/a>\u00a0will mesh with physical money and that we\u2019ll be able to use it in the same way, but it comes at a cost.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cTransactions will be fast but completely traceable, raising serious concerns about privacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernments will have absolute control over digital money, being able to freeze accounts or monitor every purchase.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cyber attacks might become more common place as their strength increases.<\/p>\n

Salom\u00e9 warned that these attacks could take down power grids, hospitals and even banking systems.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIn a polarised global scenario, these weapons could become the main tools of conflict between powers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf true, these discoveries could revolutionise one\u2019s view about the universe in which we exist \u2013 and about ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nuclear fusion is something that is pretty debateable.<\/p>\n

After all, do we really want to use nuclear power after Chernobyl? But that might be where we\u2019re heading.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt is never far beyond the horizon; the new idea of clean, unlimited energy \u2013 nuclear fusion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sadly, he also thinks that the Arctic will melt further, releasing methane in ‘catastrophic quantities’ which will cause more climate issues.<\/p>\n
