CIA employees have reportedly been offered a sizeable pay package to quit<\/h2>\n

An eye-watering pay package has been offered to CIA employees for them to quit following President Trump’s return to The White House, according to reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0returned to the Oval Office just over two weeks ago, and he’s certainly wasted no time in getting his policies across and into writing.<\/p>\n

The 47th POTUS has\u00a0signed off on numerous executive orders<\/a>\u00a0– which included halting the ban of\u00a0TikTok<\/a>, changing laws on immigration, and declaring that\u00a0there are ‘only two genders’<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You’ve then, of course, got the\u00a0threat of a trade war<\/a>\u00a0and the creation of the\u00a0very first US wealth fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, a\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0by the Wall Street Journal states the CIA offered all employees eye-watering buyouts that had been previously extended to millions of federal workers.<\/p>\n

In exchange for their resignations, the buyouts would see CIA employees receive eight months pay and further benefits if they were to leave now.<\/p>\n

The WSJ reports the buyouts have been decided in the hope of bringing the CIA more in line with President Trump’s priorities and ideas.<\/p>\n

“The CIA appeared to be the first intelligence agency to tell its employees that they can quit their jobs and receive about eight months of pay and benefits as part of Trump\u2019s push to downsize the federal government,” the report reads.<\/p>\n

Employees have until 11:59pm on Thursday, February 6 to accept the offer, with the Office of Personnel Management stating that deadline will not be extended.<\/p>\n

That is for government employees however, and it remains unclear if CIA workers are facing the same deadlines.<\/p>\n

A CIA spokesperson\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the New York Post: “Director Ratcliffe is moving swiftly to ensure the CIA workforce is responsive to the Administration\u2019s national security priorities.<\/p>\n

“These moves are part of a holistic strategy to infuse the Agency with renewed energy, provide opportunities for rising leaders to emerge, and better position the CIA to deliver on its mission.”<\/p>\n

On Tuesday (February 4),\u00a0Trump announced his intentions to ‘take over’ the Gaza strip<\/a>\u00a0and resettle all Palestinians.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a press conference at the White House, where he was joined by the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump said: “The only reason the Palestinians want to go back to Gaza is they have no alternative, it\u2019s right now a demolition site. This is just a demolition site. Virtually every building is down.<\/p>\n

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it, too. We\u2019ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
