Donald Trump has been throwing it all at the wall during his first month as the 47th President of the US<\/h2>\n

Donald Trump’s pacy executive order signing has been summed up by several senators.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When considering all the things the 47th President of the\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0has done since coming into office just a month ago, it would probably be easier to list the things he\u00a0hasn’t<\/em>\u00a0done – with Trump having signed off on\u00a0dozens of executive orders\u00a0<\/a>within just the first week, let alone his first month.<\/p>\n

From stating there are ‘only two genders’ to ‘ending radical and wasteful government diversity, equity and inclusion’ programs, renaming the Gulf of Mexico and continuing to target\u00a0the rights of undocumented migrants<\/a> – Trump really appears to be throwing it all at the wall.<\/p>\n

Executive orders do have the possibility of being blocked though, with several of Trump’s sign-offs already having been temporarily halted\u00a0thanks to an obscure law<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although earlier this week,\u00a0a federal judge denied a ‘final’ request\u00a0<\/a>to block\u00a0Elon Musk<\/a>\u00a0– who’s been appointed by Trump to\u00a0spearhead Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)<\/a>\u00a0– from accessing sensitive government data.<\/p>\n

And on February 18, Trump signed an executive order to bring various independent agencies – such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – under the White House’s control which could see him become\u00a0one of the most powerful presidents<\/a>\u00a0in the history of the US.<\/p>\n

But what do lawmakers make of it all? Well, in an exclusive interview\u00a0with<\/a>\u00a0the Mail Online, lawmakers were asked to sum up Trump’s first month in office in one word.<\/p>\n

The junior United States senator for North Dakota, Kevin Cramer, went for a diplomatic approach: “Active.”<\/p>\n

However, others didn’t mince their words quite so much.<\/p>\n

The senior United States senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley, went for a fairly tame ‘Bold’.<\/p>\n

Senator John Curtis – the junior United States senator from Utah – said: “Aggressive.”<\/p>\n

And the oldest sitting United States senator, Republican from Iowa Chuck Grassley, resolved: “Hurricane.”<\/p>\n

Well, we all know hurricanes aren’t exactly fun and games eh?<\/p>\n

Junior United States senator from Vermont, Peter Welch, resolved Trump’s first month has seen him go on an ‘illegal rampage’ – not quite sticking to one word, but we’ll let it slide – and Democratic senator of Delaware, Chris Coons, simply described it as ‘terrible’.<\/p>\n
