Trump has revealed details of his ‘offer’ Canada is allegedly ‘considering’ which would see the country aided by the Golden Dome but become a 51st state.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After rolling out tariffs on countries across the globe,\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0wasted no time making an offer to\u00a0Canada<\/a>\u00a0in order to avoid them – to\u00a0become America’s 51st state<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the tariffs, Canada has remained firm in its stance against joining the\u00a0US<\/a>, with former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resolving it was\u00a0never ‘going to happen,’\u00a0<\/a>and even\u00a0dolling out tariffs of its own<\/a>\u00a0straight back at Trump.<\/p>\n

When Prime Minister Mark Carney took over after winning the general election on April 28, he\u00a0similarly echoed\u00a0<\/a>that Canada is ‘never [going to be] for sale’.<\/p>\n

But is the POTUS ever a man who takes ‘no’ for an answer? Of course not, as Trump has since refreshed his offer.<\/p>\n

What is Donald Trump’s offer to Canada if it becomes 51st state?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On May 27, Trump took to Truth Social to reveal what he’s most recently proposed to Canada.<\/p>\n

The post reads: “I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion\u00a0Dollars<\/a>\u00a0if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State.”<\/p>\n

And according to the POTUS? Well, Canada are reportedly ‘considering the offer’.<\/p>\n

What is Trump’s Golden Dome and why is it necessary?<\/h2>\n

On May 20, Trump revealed plans for a $176 billion missile defense program called – you guessed it – the ‘Golden Dome’.<\/p>\n

The goal of the program is to help the US to intercept missiles, ‘even if they are launched from\u00a0space<\/a>‘.<\/p>\n

Why now? Well,\u00a0China<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Russia<\/a>\u00a0have already put offensive weapons in space – including satellites that can disable critical US satellites – meaning the US is subsequently vulnerable to attack.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon warned that updating countermeasures is a much-needed step and so the heftily priced program is Trump’s proposed solution.<\/p>\n

Essentially, the Golden Dome program is set to strengthen the US’ ability to detect and stop missiles at four specific stages of a missiles’ launch and journey:<\/p>\n
