The billionaire revealed that he was punched in the face<\/h2>\n

Elon Musk has revealed who punched him after he sported a surprising black eye at an Oval Office meeting recently.<\/p>\n

The billionaire appeared in a press conference with the president last week to bid farewell to his time in the administration.<\/p>\n

Musk<\/a>\u00a0had taken on the role as the head of the\u00a0Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)<\/a>\u00a0after forming a close friendship with\u00a0President Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0during his election campaign.<\/p>\n

Last year, the\u00a0Tesla<\/a>\u00a0boss donated a whopping $288 million to Trump\u2019s campaign and, since the inauguration in January, Musk has been busy hacking away at the federal budget as part of DOGE\u2019s mission to cut back on government spending.<\/p>\n

However, earlier this month, Musk announced that he was leaving his role.<\/p>\n

Taking to his own\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0platform X, formerly\u00a0Twitter<\/a>, he wrote: \u201cAs my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.\u201d<\/p>\n

People were shocked to see the billionaire turn up to his final press briefing sporting a black eye which he was questioned on.<\/p>\n

Many people took to social media to ponder what had happened, with one user writing: \u201cWhy is Elon Musk\u2019s right eye, black and blue??????\u201d<\/p>\n

And another added: \u201cDoes anyone know why Elon has a black eye?\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk replied during the press conference to say that he got the shiner while \u2018horsing around\u2019 with his five year old son, who he referred to as \u2018lil X\u2019.<\/p>\n

Musk said: \u201cI said, \u2018go ahead and punch me in the face\u2019, and he did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump added: \u201cX could do it. I didn\u2019t notice it, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0SpaceX<\/a>\u00a0founder also joked that he \u2018wasn\u2019t anywhere near France\u2019 when he got the black, referring to an incident that took place last week where the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, was filmed shoving President Emmanuel Macron\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

Trump went on to praise Musk, saying: \u201cWe\u2019ll remember you as we announce billions of dollars of extra waste, fraud and abuse. DOGE has installed geniuses with an engineering mindset and unbelievably talented people on computers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually asked Elon one time, \u2018what’s their primary thing?\u2019 And they have a lot of primary things all having to do with being smart.\u201d<\/p>\n
