It seemingly all began after Musk\u00a0criticized Trump’s economic policy<\/a>\u00a0after finally departing from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency.<\/p>\n Many had speculated that the\u00a0once-inseparable bond<\/a>\u00a0between Trump and Musk was broken\u00a0despite efforts for reconciliation<\/a>\u00a0from both parties, yet everything would quickly become clear when their pair took to social media.<\/p>\n Musk became involved in a social media war with Trump, with major accusations being thrown about (Kevin Dietsch\/Getty Images)<\/cite><\/div>\n Armed with\u00a0X<\/a>\u00a0and Truth Social, the duo exchanged bitter comments and wild accusations, including\u00a0threats to cease all business contracts<\/a>, proclamations of election prowess, and most notably allegations of the\u00a0president’s place within the Epstein files<\/a>.<\/p>\n Amid the chaos, former White House official Steven Bannon argued that Musk – a South African-born US citizen –\u00a0should be deported<\/a>\u00a0and his company\u00a0SpaceX<\/a>\u00a0should be seized by the US government, and that has prompted another nation to seemingly come to his rescue.<\/p>\n As reported by the\u00a0Washington Post<\/a>, several key Russian officials have offered Musk support in\u00a0his conflict with Trump<\/a>, with one even going as far to supposedly offer him asylum in the country, much like\u00a0NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Elon @elonmusk, don’t be upset!” Wrote former Roscomos head Dmitry Rogozin on X. “You are respected in Russia. If you encounter insurmountable problems in the US, come to us and become one of us – a ‘Bars-Sarmat’ fighter.
