Musk and Trump have been engaged in a public feud over the past few days<\/h2>\n

Elon Musk has spoken out after making a major U-turn following his bombshell claim about President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following\u00a0Trump’s<\/a>\u00a0re-entry into The White House for his second run,\u00a0Musk<\/a>\u00a0has been by his side and was appointed the head of his newest department, The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), in a bid to tackle ‘wasteful spending’ over various government departments.<\/p>\n

When Tesla showrooms were being vandalised across the\u00a0US<\/a>, Trump showed his support for Musk by\u00a0labelling such acts as domestic terrorism.<\/a><\/p>\n

By the end of May, the SpaceX CEO’s time with the Trump administration had come to an end… although\u00a0it was to be expected<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What the whole world didn’t expect was the implosion that followed after Musk’s departure.<\/p>\n

Musk expressed his criticism towards Trump’s ‘one big beautiful bill’, which includes a number of temporary tax cuts until 2028, and a freeze on taxes for those working overtime,\u00a0calling it a ‘disgusting abomination’.<\/a><\/p>\n

Following this,\u00a0Trump expressed that he was ‘disappointed’ with Musk’s comments<\/a>, the billionaire lashed out at him on\u00a0social media<\/a>, making strong allegations toward the President in the process – by alleging that the 78-year-old was in the Jeffrey Epstein files.<\/p>\n

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” he alleged on social media. “That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”<\/p>\n

Musk added in a follow-up tweet: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”<\/p>\n

The tweets have subsequently been deleted, and Musk failed to provide any evidence for these claims, with The White House’s Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt,\u00a0also dismissing it in a statement.<\/a><\/p>\n

Now, with his tail between his legs, the billionaire conceded to rueing some of these comments.<\/p>\n

“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” he posted on the platform today (June 11).<\/p>\n

Replying to his former ‘first buddy’s’ comments while speaking to the press in his Oval Office, he was asked whether everything having been said meant their\u00a0relationship<\/a>\u00a0was over.<\/p>\n

“I would assume so, yeah,” he responded. “I\u2019m too busy doing other things.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I won an election in a landslide. I gave him [Musk] a lot of breaks, long before this happened, I gave him breaks in my first administration, and saved his life in my first administration, I have no intention of speaking to him.”<\/p>\n

Trump then added that\u00a0there would be ‘serious consequences’ for Musk<\/a>\u00a0if he decided to fund any future Democratic campaigns, though he didn’t elaborate on what those consequences would be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
