This year for Prince William and Kate Middleton has been way different from last year. The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer in February last year, but in September, after undergoing cancer treatment, she was luckily cancer-free. She has begun taking on more and more royal duties since, for example, joining the rest of the family for Trooping the Colour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Still,\u00a0King Charles<\/a>\u00a0is the king, and\u00a0William<\/a>\u00a0will have to wait to take over. However, one friend of the couple anonymously claims that there has been a \u201cmajor\u201d development. Are William and\u00a0Kate<\/a>\u00a0ready to take over as king and queen already?<\/p>\n

Kate Middleton\u2019s return to the royal stage has been celebrated by royal fans worldwide. The beloved princess\u2019 cancer diagnosis was very worrying, not only for fans but mainly, of course, for her family, but luckily, she made it through. The Princess of Wales has made high-profile appearances at, for example, The Order of the Garter Service and most recently at Trooping the Colour.<\/p>\n

Still, Kate is not rushing back to her regular schedule and has decided at the last minute to pull out of the Royal Ascot on June 18. She did not explain why, but per\u00a0People Magazine<\/a>, she was \u201csaid to be disappointed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been married for over 16 years, and this last year has been tough on them. Their relationship has been put to the test, but while Kate\u2019s cancer treatment has been rough, it has, in some way, brought them closer together.<\/p>\n

When appearing in public, the couple is seen smiling, holding hands, and showing their love towards one another. At Trooping the Colour just a week ago, there was no difference.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales wore a special pair of earrings to the big event, paying tribute to the late\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>. Not only has she been praised time and time again for her way of raising her kids, but also as a \u201chuge assett\u201d to the Royal Family by King Charles.<\/p>\n

Kate might have been married into the Royal Family. However, according to Christopher Andersen, author of\u00a0The King<\/em>, Charles sees her as the secret weapon to help secure the monarchy\u2019s future. However, advising her on her future as queen is out of the question.<\/p>\n

\u201cKing Charles was so impressed with her grace and grit that he bestowed a singular honor on Kate, making her a Royal Companion of Honour, an unmistakable sign of his faith in her ability to help carry the monarchy forward,\u201d he told\u00a0Fox<\/a>\u00a0in early 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut beyond that, the king is not about to be giving Kate advice about being a future queen. That would simply give oxygen to the notion that he might not be around much longer, and Charles III intends\u00a0to stay put on the throne\u00a0for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andersen continued by stating that\u00a0Queen Camilla<\/a>\u00a0is not interested in speaking with Kate about her life as queen. He claims they have a \u201cgrudging respect for each other.\u201d No matter what happens\u2014or when it happens\u2014broadcaster Helena Chard states that King Charles is absolutely sure that Kate will be a fantastic queen.<\/p>\n

\u201cKing Charles is comforted by the fact that\u00a0Princess Catherine puts family first\u00a0and wouldn\u2019t want it any other way. The well-being of the future heirs is paramount. He knows that when the time comes, she will seamlessly transition into the perfect future queen,\u201d she told Fox.<\/p>\n

Prince William and Kate Middleton are, whether you like it or not, the future of the monarchy. The way they are raising\u00a0Prince George<\/a>,\u00a0Princess Charlotte<\/a>, and\u00a0Prince Louis<\/a>\u00a0has been seen as a clear sign of how they want to modernize the Royal Family and how it is perceived.<\/p>\n

But as mentioned, how they act in public has also, in some way, shown that they are very much human just like anyone else. And while Prince William is brought up within the Royal Family and learned \u201cthe hard way\u201d how a royal should act, there are telling signs of his and his wife\u2019s chemistry in public.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of\u00a0Slingo<\/a>, the former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles, stated that Kate \u201clooked amazing\u201d for Trooping the Colour and \u201cmade everyone proud,\u201d being at the \u201cforefront of the Royal Family.\u201d per\u00a0Marie Claire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harrold added, \u201cEveryone\u2019s eyes were on William and Kate. They are the future of the monarchy, the future King and Queen. They were very confident. It was lovely to see a very modern approach to the Royal Family and Trooping the Colour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moreover, speaking to\u00a0Hello Magazine<\/a>, Dr. Arthur Cassidy, a member of the British Psychological Society, stated that Prince William and Kate Middleton showed an \u201cauthentic masterclass\u201d for the significant event.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrince William\u2026devoted father and protector\u2026shows for a few milliseconds, a tight upper lip as he faces Princess Kate,\u201d Dr. Cassidy told Hello! \u201cThis signifies his positive emotional state as he\u2019s deeply in love with his wife Kate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Further, the doctor added that William showed off body language, which gave away that he\u2019s \u201cphysically attracted\u201d to Kate. Also, Cassidy said that \u201cthis produces an intense inner emotional reaction to Princess Catherine\u2019s long-lasting loving gaze. His lips then become more relaxed.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Kate\u2019s response, the doctor added that the princess was \u201cglowing with positive emotions and energy expressed in her toned body posture and facial characteristics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Kate is not yet back to her regular schedule, that may change in the coming months. Not only has Kate carefully planned her time, but she and William also appear to have a plan in place. While it could take years for William to take the throne as king and Kate to become queen, a person described as a \u201cfriend\u201d of the couple says they are preparing for \u201cshifts\u201d in the coming months.<\/p>\n

The friend told\u00a0People<\/a>\u00a0that \u201csome major shifts coming behind the scenes,\u201d adding that both the Prince and Princess of Wales are building their respective teams for their ascension.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are really finessing what works and what doesn\u2019t,\u201d the friend added.<\/p>\n
