Vice President JD Vance is under fire after making an obscene gesture during a televised speech, just moments after President Trump made headlines for dropping an expletive in front of reporters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vance was speaking at a Republican dinner in his home state of Ohio on Tuesday (June 24) when he flashed the middle finger while referencing political critics in Washington.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it\u2019s not always easy to be a political candidate, trust me,\u201d\u00a0Vance<\/a>\u00a0said, per\u00a0The Daily Beast<\/a>. \u201cIn Washington, D.C., they have this thing, I think it means we\u2019re No. 1.\u201d He then raised his middle finger, adding: \u201cAll the pink-haired people throw up this sign and I think that means we\u2019re No. 1, right? I choose to take it that way.\u201d<\/p>\n

The moment was captured on national television and quickly drew criticism online. Social media users called the gesture \u201cdisgraceful\u201d and \u201cunprofessional,\u201d with one post reading, \u201cRemember when presidents and vice presidents set a good example for the country?\u201d<\/p>\n

Others called the moment \u201cembarrassing,\u201d especially given the heightened global tensions Vance and Trump were addressing.<\/p>\n

The Vice President\u2019s stunt came just hours after\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0gave a fiery response<\/a>\u00a0to questions about the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran.<\/p>\n
