After her parents were found shot to death in the family home, a Georgia teen shared a teary-eyed tribute online \u2013 one that failed to convince police, who recently charged the 17-year-old \u201cmonster\u201d in the brutal murders of her mother and stepfather.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On February 20, Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, called police to report that her 5-year-old sister had stumbled upon the bodies of their bloody\u00a0parents<\/a>, who were\u00a0dead<\/a>\u00a0inside the family\u2019s home near Carrollton, Georgia, about 55 miles west of Atlanta.<\/p>\n

When deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrived at the scene on Tyus Road, they discovered Kristin Brock, 41, and her husband James Brock, 45, lying in bed and \u201cdeceased from apparent gunshot wounds,\u201d the sheriff said, per\u00a0NBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emotional TikTok post<\/h2>\n

Just over a week after the tragic\u00a0shooting<\/a>, a heartfelt tribute appeared on TikTok \u2013 a daughter\u2019s public display of grief that, at the time, seemed like a touching farewell to her lost parents.<\/p>\n

The video \u2013 with a caption that read: \u201cI miss you guys, save a seat for me in heaven\u201d \u2013 featured a montage of photos of Kristin and James, set to emotional music \u2013 with haunting text overlaid, allegedly written by Patrick.<\/p>\n

It said: \u201cThey don\u2019t know it, but a year from now me and my 5-year-old sister would find them wrongfully shot dead in our home \u2013 and they won\u2019t get to watch me graduate high school, see me walk down the aisle, or even say goodbye,\u201d the emotional text said. The account, that has since been deleted, was confirmed by the sheriff\u2019s office to belong to Patrick, per\u00a0Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Teary-eyed tribute<\/h2>\n

Shortly after, Patrick gave a tearful eulogy at her parent\u2019s funeral, claiming she was \u201clost\u201d without them.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those of you who do not know me, my name is Sarah, and I am Kristin Brock\u2019s daughter and James Brock\u2019s stepdaughter,\u201d Patrick started, appearing to get choked up.<\/p>\n

The teary-eyed teen \u2013 who was wearing a pale blue dress \u2013 continued, \u201cI just wanted to say goodbye to my mom and James since we never got the chance to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to remember them for who they were and not what happened to them and be happy for the time we got to spend together and not sad about the time that we don\u2019t,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
