Although King Charles may live for many years to come, his funeral plans are already being finalized. Just as Queen Elizabeth II, the 76-year-old has been involved in planning his own funeral, and now, he is claimed to have made a big decision. Despite the rift, his son, Harry, and daughter-in-law, Meghan, could get \u2018prominent\u2019 roles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Death is entirely natural, but it still leaves deep wounds for family members. When it\u2019s time to leave Earth for good, one wants all affairs in order, and for\u00a0Charles<\/a>, one thing needs to be fixed: his relationship with his estranged son,\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A reconciliation between Harry,\u00a0Meghan Markle<\/a>, and the Royal Family looks far, far away after what has happened in the years following their royal exit in 2021. Harry has spoken openly about his feelings towards the royals, both in his bombshell book,\u00a0Spare,\u00a0<\/em>and in a series of interviews.<\/p>\n

He appeared in an extraordinary BBC interview some months ago, claiming that his father, King Charles, refuses to speak to him. The estranged prince said he would \u201clove reconciliation\u201d with his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been so many disagreements, differences, between me and some of my family,\u201d Harry said, adding that \u201csome members\u201d of his family will \u201cnever forgive him\u201d for what he\u2019s done, including \u201cwriting a book.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Royal Family has not issued a single statement regarding Harry\u2019s numerous comments or allegations. A source told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/a>\u00a0in May that the royals feel \u201churt and betrayed\u201d by the prince.\u00a0Prince William<\/a>, it\u2019s claimed, has had the most visceral reaction, being left \u201cmore hurt than anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added: \u201cEverything changed when Meghan came into the fold, [But] she\u2019s not blamed for everything, and Harry is a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

King Charles is reportedly heartbroken about not getting to see his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Additionally, since Harry didn\u2019t receive the protection he claimed his family needed to visit the UK, there is no indication that they will meet anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Prince Harry\u2019s relationship with his brother, Prince William, is said to be terrible, as they haven\u2019t spoken in over two years. Some claims even state that the next time they will meet is at their father\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n

Although we don\u2019t know if that will be the case, a new report suggests that William and Harry will likely have to meet earlier than that due to the funeral. When\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>\u00a0passed away, plans for King\u00a0Charles\u2019s death were immediately implemented.\u00a0Operation Menai Bridge<\/em>\u00a0is a detailed plan for what will happen when the monarch dies\u2014including, of course, his funeral plans\u2014and many things that will occur in the hours following his passing will be traditionally the same as for any deceased monarch.<\/p>\n

At the time of King Charles\u2019 death, many will be instantly informed. Charles\u2019s private secretary will contact his family, the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretary, the King\u2019s Privy Council Office, and other senior ministers and officials. The Firm will then issue an \u201cofficial notification\u201d to the public, and there are already scripts in place for how other officials will be alerted.<\/p>\n

Moreover, he reportedly has opted to have one day of royal mourning after his funeral, just like the rest of the nation. When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, the royal mourning period lasted a week following the service.<\/p>\n

King Charles, of course, gets to pick who will \u2013 and will not \u2013\u00a0be attending the funeral. A new bombshell report from\u00a0The Telegraph<\/a>\u00a0suggests that not only will he want Harry and Meghan there, but that they will also receive \u2018prominent\u2019 roles.<\/p>\n

The source reports that King Charles has made a conscious effort to include not only his son and daughter-in-law, but also their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The estranged prince is expected to walk alongside William during the formal procession through London.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Duke and Duchess will be invited to participate in the family vigil when the monarch is lying in state at Westminster Hall and get \u201cprominent roles\u201d during the funeral.<\/p>\n
