{"id":16876,"date":"2025-11-01T11:35:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T11:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=16876"},"modified":"2025-11-01T11:35:24","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T11:35:24","slug":"queen-of-serial-killers-had-chilling-last-words-before-her-execution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=16876","title":{"rendered":"\u201cQueen of Serial Killers\u201d had chilling last words before her execution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The woman who garnered the monikers the \u201cDamsel of Death\u201d and \u201cQueen of Serial Killers\u201d shared a chilling statement before she was executed for her crimes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aileen Wuornos rose to become arguably the US\u2019 most notorious female serial killer ever after embarking on a murder spree that claimed the lives of no less than seven men.<\/p>\n<p>A sex worker by trade, Wuornos\u2019 string of morbid crimes played out in Florida, where she robbed and shot dead her victims, all male motorists between the ages of 40 and 65, before stealing their vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in 1989, the killings all took place inside a 12-month period before Wuornos was arrested in Port Orange in 1991.<\/p>\n<p>She ultimately confessed to her dark deeds, though claimed that she had only shot men who either raped her or attempted to.<\/p>\n<p>Having been handed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/capitalpunishmentincontext.org\/node\/77456\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">six death sentences<\/a>\u00a0upon being found guilty, Wuornos said in court: \u201cI am as guilty as can be. I want the\u00a0world\u00a0to know I killed these men, as cold as ice. I\u2019ve hated humans for a long time. I am a serial killer. Credit \/ YouTube<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Confined to death row at Broward Correctional Institution in Florida while she awaited her execution, she regularly complained about the decision to delay her fate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no point in sparing me,\u201d Wuornos said in July 2001. \u201cIt\u2019s a waste of taxpayers\u2019 money. I killed those men, robbed them. And I\u2019d do it again, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no chance in keeping me alive or anything, because I\u2019d kill again. I have hate crawling through my system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wuornos\u2019 execution was eventually carried out via lethal injection on October 9, 2002. Prior to the sentence being carried out, the 46-year-old muttered her final statement, which was as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would just like to say I\u2019m sailing with the rock, and I\u2019ll be back, like\u00a0<em>Independence Day<\/em>, with Jesus. June 6, like the movie.
