John Cena is 48 years old. The Wrestling legend has been married twice, but he\u2019s never had children. Now, he reveals the true reason he doesn\u2019t plan to have any either.<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Cena went from the WWE to become an actor on-screen. He\u2019s been known for his genuine appreciation of his fans, but while he is a huge star, scandals have been far from him.<\/p>\n

Cena has been married twice: first to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012, and in 2020, he married for a second time. The 48-year-old married Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020, and they are still happily married.<\/p>\n

For many, having children is a part of life, but in John Cena\u2019s case, it\u2019s different.<\/p>\n

Many years ago, he decided he didn\u2019t want kids, and to this day, he stands by that decision. Last year, John Cena appeared on Shannon Sharpe\u2019s\u00a0Club Shay Shay\u00a0<\/em>show, stating, \u201cI don\u2019t want them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a certain curiosity about life, and I also know the investment that it takes,\u201d Cena\u00a0said<\/a>, explaining that he\u2019s worried that his personality type reveals he\u2019s not ready to have kids.<\/p>\n

John Cena reveals why he doesn\u2019t plan on having kids<\/h2>\n

\u201cAnd my biggest fear is, as someone who\u2019s driven, many times stubborn, and selfish \u2013 I try to approach the world with kindness and curiosity, but I don\u2019t think I\u2019m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it needs to be a great parent because I want to live life for all it is,\u201d Cena said. \u201cAnd I still have a lot to do. And I still want to do a lot. I have a wonderful partner I do it with. We\u2019ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, John Cena stated that he feels people are judging those who decide not to have kids, putting them into a \u201ccategory.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to believe that I operate under the construct that everyone\u2019s okay living their life,\u201d he added. \u201cMy opinions only hit that gray area during emotionally difficult times. And I\u2019m very happy with where I stand. I have a lot of joy and fulfillment in my life. And that\u2019s pretty much where I stand on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September this year, Cena was once again asked about not having children. He said he had been working straight for 43 days, speaking about his film\u00a0Little Brother<\/em>, and that he had 20 more to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cIrresponsible choice\u201d<\/h2>\n

\u201cSo if I were to bring a life into this world that needs environmental nurture and unconditional love, I also know that takes time, and I\u2019ve been blessed with some great opportunities and life has awarded me the chance to do some amazing things. And right now I wanna seize those opportunities,\u201d he\u00a0explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I don\u2019t want to make an irresponsible choice and bring a life into the world that I won\u2019t neglect \u2013 I don\u2019t think that\u2019s fair.\u201d<\/p>\n
