Actress Jane Fonda, who\u2019s become known as a \u201cclimate change\u201d activist in recent years, revealed she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin\u2019s Lymphoma, which she called \u201cvery treatable.\u201d However, the actress sparked controversy with her political remarks regarding the diagnosis, even going so far as to blame the illness on fossil fuels.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very treatable cancer,\u201d Fonda\u00a0said<\/a>. \u201cEighty percent of people survive, so I feel very lucky.\u201d She also felt fortunate for having \u201chealth insurance and access to the best doctors and treatments\u201d and said it was \u201cpainful\u201d to realize she was \u201cprivileged\u201d in this. \u201cAlmost every family in America has had to deal with cancer at one time or another and far too many don\u2019t have access to the quality health care I am receiving and this is not right,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
