LeBlanc revealed he has been fighting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/?s=cancer\">cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em>Young and the Restless<\/em>\u00a0actor made the shocking announcement during a recent appearance on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwltv.com\/video\/news\/local\/morning-show\/young-and-the-restless-star-christian-leblanc-says-fans-spotted-his-tumor-on-tv\/289-327744ed-e0db-4eba-aeb0-37bb1b7853af\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">WWL-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a tumor right here,\u201d he said, pointing to his brow, \u201cpressing on my optic nerve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LeBlanc said that while he did notice some out of the ordinary things happening while on set \u2013 nosebleeds and his character\u2019s ring falling off his finger \u2013 he didn\u2019t pay much attention until fans pointed out his \u201cwonky\u201d eye.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fans caught it,\u201d the 65-year-old said. \u201cI was getting people [saying], like, \u2018Your eye is a little Jim Carrey[-esque] that way.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After a trip to a neurological ophthalmologist, who discovered a tumor in his sinus cavitiy, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and began treatment immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d never spent a day in the hospital in my 65 years until this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-139227 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/10\/25182701\/chris-leblanc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/10\/25182701\/chris-leblanc.jpg\" data-eio-rwidth=\"640\" data-eio-rheight=\"960\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Kathy Hutchins \/ Shutterstock.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As LeBlanc noted, multiple myeloma is a \u201cvery common cancer,\u201d so while it is a \u201cvery fast cancer,\u201d it is also heavily researched giving him and others a promising prognosis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is such a well researched cancer and they have made so many huge steps with taking the pain out of chemo and making more constructive immunotherapies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite being diagnosed with cancer in June, LeBlanc is already in remission and plans for his character to return to\u00a0<em>The Young and the Restless<\/em>\u00a0in time for the Thanksgiving episode.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a fan of soap operas, you won\u2019t want to miss these\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/?s=soap+opera\">stories<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christian J.
