{"id":4534,"date":"2023-11-01T11:20:17","date_gmt":"2023-11-01T11:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=4534"},"modified":"2023-11-01T11:20:17","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T11:20:17","slug":"rick-harrison-of-the-pawn-stars-has-some-bad-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/used82.com\/?p=4534","title":{"rendered":"Rick Harrison of the \u2018Pawn Stars\u2019 has some bad news."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to court documents, the mother of \u201cPawn Stars\u201d star Rick Harrison has filed a lawsuit against him in a dispute over the family\u2019s assets and ownership of the Las Vegas firm featured on the long-running reality TV show.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Harrison\u2019s attorneys filed a civil action on behalf of Harrison\u2019s mother, Joanne Harrison, in a Nevada state court.<\/p>\n<p>Among those named defendants are Rick Harrison, the Gold &amp; Silver Pawn Shop, and the business entities Harrison Properties and JoRich Properties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe charges are baseless,\u201d Rick Harrison told the newspaper, \u201cand I believe people are exploiting my 81-year-old mother for their gain.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-25115 jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/recipmo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/premium-25-min.jpg?w=1250&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-pagespeed-url-hash=\"1981881924\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Joanne Harrison was married to the late Richard Harrison, also known as \u201cThe Old Man\u201d on the show, for 58 years before he died, according to the breach-of-contract complaint.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that when she was confined to the hospital in either 2000 or 2001, one of the couple\u2019s three sons, Rick Harrison, coerced her into transferring to him her 51% ownership interest in the pawn store.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, the company was the setting for a History Channel show starring the family\u2019s grandson Richard Corey Harrison and a family friend named Austin \u201cChumlee\u201d Russell.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, Joanne Harrison purchased Richard Harrison\u2019s 49 percent stake in the pawn shop after his death in 2018.
