When rapper 50 Cent released hit brand new track ‘Candy Shop’ back in 2005, it was guaranteed to be a chart-topping hit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

With countless number ones under his belt by the time the\u00a0new song<\/a> reached record stores around the world, there was no doubt it would be a sell-out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Praised for opening up in the realities of gangs, hard work, violence and making money, many were invested in the hidden meaning behind 50’s music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, several social media followers have this week made the startling realisation that ‘Candy Shop’ may not actually be about venturing into a\u00a0chocolate and sweets<\/a>\u00a0store, and is actually based on something not very family-friendly…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

TikTok<\/a>\u00a0user Debi – who goes by the username @dibdabx – has made a name for herself on the social media app for reacting to the real meanings behind some cryptic songs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And this week, the social media star listened to\u00a050 Cent<\/a>‘s ‘Candy Shop’, and was unable to hold back her shock after realising the song may actually be about receiving…\u00a0fellatio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Anyway, in the viral video – captioned “Listening to ‘Candy Shop’ by 50 Cent now I’m not a child” – Debi’s jaw drops when she listens carefully to the first few lines of the chorus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I’ll take you to the candy shop. I’ll let you lick the lollipop. Go ahead, girl, don’t you stop. Keep going until you hit the spot.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I mean, how didn’t we pick up on this sooner? It’s so obvious!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“Why have I never noticed this?!” Debi asks viewers. “Calm down sir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“They’re both going for it,” she says, after listening to the female artist’s lines. “Childhood ruined.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
